Russian soldiers have been scammed by their leaders?

base on the video ive watched they dont want war (captrured soldiers) and thought the what they had to do was just just an exercise or drill. little did they know they were being sent to a war. Actual war.

Yes, I don't think many actually thought he would invade. You can imagine how pissed the ones that have been there since October/November last year are-basically sat there for four or five months in terrible conditions & now are fighting an enemy being supplied by the west, while sanctions are crippling their loved ones back home.

I don't believe for 1 second any of the videos floating around of russian soldiers crying saying they had no idea.
Maybe watch the video of the tank coming around a corner and blowing up a single car driving towards the same intersection the tanks were heading.

If we base real life on snap map, Russians don't look too "crippled" from my perspective, all I see is people out shopping, at bars, going to shows.

Please, it happens in every war. Stick a bunch of testosterone filled young soldiers somewhere they don't want to be for months, wind them up & then let them loose & they will rape & murder civilians of who they have been told is the enemy. Happened in Vietnam with US troops. Look at the crap that went on in Abu Gharaib with US soldiers who had total power & were being encouraged to do that stuff from the top of the US government. Even aid workers have blackmailed women & children in crisis zones into providing sexual services in exchange for food.

Of course not all soldiers are going to do it, but any army by its nature will attract a fair number of psychopaths, sex offenders etc. Drop them in a foreign land where they are coming under fire, seeing friends/other soldiers killed or maimed, they have power over the population & it will happen.

Was in several war zones myself, donโ€™t need a lecture. We didnโ€™t deliberately target civilians and I donโ€™t believe mainstream modern Russian troops are either.

No **** you have situations like that pop up in war. What I said was I donโ€™t believe Russian troops are purposefully targeting civilians for death.

Yes, you might not, many others might not, but others will-that is sadly just a reality & always has been. That belief is incredibly naive & ignoring reality-we have already seen footage of them killing people trying to flee, one of your reporters got murdered there yesterday or the day before. Every conflict in history where one country are trying to occupy a land by force you kill men & children of fighting age & then rape/enslave the women & younger children.
