Thoughts on Roller Skating Rinks ? [PICS]













Thinking of going to one later to skate around and think about life. I also have been working on a DJ career and I want to go and envision I am the DJ at the rink so that way I can make my dreams come true through positive energy (like in the book The Secret). Thoughts?

I've been taking (and skating with) my kids a few times a month for several months now.

Chit is fun and good glute exercise. Srs

Quads are better than inlines for casual skating, IMO. I can go hours on quads without a break.

There are usually a handful of adults skating when I go.

Just do it.

We ice skate as a family (young kids) in a similar fashion but haven’t been to a rollerink since I was 12. Good times when we did though and we are getting our kids rollerblades this year so we might go.

Still go every Friday. Decent cardio still and kids enjoy it. We found a local place that is pretty old-school in design, though the music is all over the place as they try to appease everyone.

I'm happy though cause even at my age I just get excited hearing some Bee Gees, Gap Band, Midnight Star, etc.

Edit: Forgot to mention I grew up in the skating rink so definitely a huge part of my childhood.

Back when I was apart of the church we'd have roller skating Friday/Saturdays. I think roller rinks could be pretty fun just for the nostalgia alone.

Reminds me of simpler times when I didn't have any worries aside from if there's spaghetti for dinner.
