Across all the studies, a trend appears. When the studies are more scientifically rigorous with a larger cohort, the effects are less pronounced. That pattern tends to hold true for medicines which actually aren't that effective.

That would be for a 200lb person at 1200mcg/kg.

Hard to find information on higher doses, but pretty much everyone that has studied it has said the recommended dose of 200mcg and 400mcg that is approved is not nearly enough for covid, and it has been proven safe up to 2000mcg. Somewhere between 600-1200mcg seems to be the sweet spot.

You say it's unethical to "divert Ivermectin away from those who really need it" as though the drug is scarce and expensive to produce. You put words in my mouth suggesting I claimed "millions of doctors and scientists intentionally withholding treatment because of some evil conspiracy", which is nothing but a strawman argument. It would only take a small, extremely wealthy group of people heavily invested in the profiting of mRNA vaccines, who also have deep ties with mainstream media and Government to shun and smear any possible alternative medicine, and the majority of the western medical community to follow. We witnessed exactly that happen; No alternative or early treatment was ever recommended, the vaccine was always touted as the be all and end all and anyone in the medical community who investigated or suggested otherwise was immediately called a "quack" or "conspiracy theorist" by MSM and the hoard of sheeple who rushed to get their vaccines.

You're fine with multiple former FDA commissioners going on to work for Moderna, Pfizer, J&J, being members of their board of directors and venture capital firms. You're good with the same pharmaceutical companies giving millions of dollars to politicians, politicians who are free to buy shares in said companies, who then go on to mandate their product, making the pharma companies hundreds of billions of dollars in profit and granting them complete immunity from prosecution should anything go wrong with their product. You see no problem with all that, but a study showing a cheap, generic and plentiful drug as a viable covid preventative, you conclude must be some sort of conspiratorial money making scheme by the authors? To sell online consultations and a drug that costs pennies? Yet we're the crazy CTers for believing the ones making 100s of billions have the more glaring conflict of interest?

What do you mean FLCCC doesn't recommend more? They say minimum 400-600mcg/kg and more if the symptoms are more severe.

I find it surprising that omicron hit you that hard to begin with. That sh!t is mild as fcck.

It's true that some of these larger studies notice some weak effects, but none are touting this as some hidden miracle cure. The conspiratards rant that this is some suppressed miracle cure, but all the big pharma companies have studied in clinical trials, you can see the huge amount of peer-reviewed work on it, and AFAIK there are dozens of ongoing trials for it.

I don't know of any large and systematic trial which has a clinically relevant outcome, like mortality, sickness, recovery etc. There are in vitro effects like lowered virus titer in cell culture and stuff, but you wouldn't even look at these if the treatment is effective. Likewise, you wouldn't need more people in a trial with hundreds of participants to figure out effectivness.

Conclusion? Ivermectin has been given a fair and extensive analysis. The effects are weak and mostly clinically irrelevant.

EDIT: Fixed the link.
Just FYI, I went back and fixed the broken link in this original post. Take this together with the complete shredding another poster and I gave the video/study, I think it might be time to hop off the Ivermectin/conspiracy train.

The one where you believe the authors of a study which found Ivermectin to be a beneficial prophylactic are conspiring to make bank off online consultations and a drug that costs pennies to buy?
This is not so much a claim of conspiracy as much as it is evidence of a clear conflict of interest which is a big red flag WRT the veracity of this study. And that's in addition to all the other reasons I've documented.

Which conspiracy are you referring to exactly?

The one where you believe the authors of a study which found Ivermectin to be a beneficial prophylactic are conspiring to make bank off online consultations and a drug that costs pennies to buy?

Or the one where habitually offending, historically corrupt pharmaceutical companies who engage in illegal marketing practices, who bribe physicians and suppress adverse trial results, who since 2002 have been assessed $3 billion in criminal convictions, who spend the most lobbying in government; 228 million dollars in 2019 alone to politicians who then go on to mandate their product, making the pharmaceutical companies hundreds of billions of dollars in profit and granting them complete immunity from prosecution should anything go wrong with their product?

Or the FDA who receive 70%+ of its drug regulatory budget from the same corrupt pharmaceutical companies it supposedly regulates, who more often than not does not conduct its own studies to verify results but instead trusts the studies coming from the corrupt pharmaceutical companies it is supposed to be regulating?

Or the CDC members who own large shares of the pharmaceutical companies and own 50 vaccine related patents?

Or how every mainstream news outfit shares at least one board member with at least one pharmaceutical company, the same historically corrupt pharmaceutical companies who account for nearly 70% of news media advertising?

Or how Scott Gottlieb was the FDA commissioner from 2017-2019 who helped expedite the approval process of experimental drugs, who no longer works for the FDA, but is on the board of directors at Pfizer?

Which conspiracy train seems more likely and dangerous to public health to you? The lads over in Brazil conducting studies on existing generic cheaply made drugs with known safety profiles in a quest for potential covid prophylactics? Or the billionaire boyos over at Pfizer who have politicians, FDA members and mainstream media in their pockets, even after having paid over 3 billion dollars in criminal fines?

You've stated a literal theory of conspiracy; a group of people conspiring to defraud and deceive the general public in order to make profit. That's your conspiracy theory, so you yourself are what you accuse everyone else of being; a conspiracy theorist. Which to you is a bigger conflict of interest than the multiple conflicts of interest happening between Pfizer, the FDA, politicians and mainstream media?

Your view would involve countless thousands to millions of doctors and scientists falsifying hundreds and hundreds of studies with the deliberate intention of withholding a lifesaving treatment in the interest of being "evil". What I'm claiming is that asingle study is marred by a clear conflict of interest, I'm not claiming any conspiring is going on.

My case doesn't even rest on the claim of conflict of interest; it rests on the numerous issues of poor methodology and unjustifiable causal claims. Our two positions could not be more incommensurate: I've posted hundreds of far more rigorous studies from far more prestigious journals showing ivermectin's effects are weak to non-existent. Pharmacovigilance data showing 268 million doses of vaccine are mostly safe and very effective.

The anti-vaxx position, conversely, shows up with a small handful of articles from predatory journals which have had holes blown through their methodology. Night and day difference. So if you want a preventative measure for Covid, then the answer is clearly to get the vaccine.
Back off, Warchild.

I've already answered this ridiculous chit. It wouldn't need millions of doctors and scientists to be in on some grand conspiracy. It would only require those at the very top of the historically corrupt pharmaceutical companies to continue to do what they do; be criminals and engage in corruption. Along with the select few politicians who are being paid handsomely to mandate and push their product, and finally the FDA and mainstream media bosses who stand to make millions of dollars in stock prices, lobbying and advertising from Pfizer/Moderna to push their desired narrative.

The rest of the medical community and average doctors will follow whatever orders are from the top of the pyramid, the majority will mindlessly do what they are told is "right". Just like you and billions of other sheeple did. And those who sought alternative treatment were threatened with losing their livelihoods.

The whole stinking system is "marred" by conflicts of interest you disingenuous tard.

i believe it is 99.87%............... just saying if you take out the very old and/or fckd it is very much higher than that.

in the UK the non fckd or old deaths out of 152k is about 17k in a population of 66 million

Exactly. Top people (Fauci, etc) give the plan to regulators who tell hospital boards what they will now be doing or else [insert fine or other govt penalty here] who dictate to their hospitals and doctors how to treat patients.
