caffeine tolerance changed suddenly :(
used to need approximately 8 hrs for caffeine to wear off. so i'd pop a 200mg caffeine pill at 3pm and i cud fall asleep around midnight.
turned 30 in February. and all of a sudden it's switched 12-13 hrs. wtf mane. if i want to sleep on time, i can't have any caffeine after 12pm??

I used to drink 32 ounces of coffee every day, then at age 37 every time I drank coffee I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. It must’ve been a synergistic reaction to the high blood pressure medication I was taking at that time.
After two or three trips to the emergency room, I stopped drinking coffee and caffeinated sodas permanently.

Everyone handles drugs differently
But safe to say
Your tolerance goes down with age
For any of them
It's kind fascinating
Your brain telling you hey ,you wana stay on this ride ?
Stop fkn around with me

I became more sensitive to it around age 32
I think it has to do with how slow we metabolize as we get older

Never have any issue with sleep-but I can't kick the stuff. Tried going cold turkey last week-the day with nothing was fine, then the next two days were really bad. By the third day on Saturday I was pretty much climbing up the walls needing chocolate.

Can it be because your metabolism slows down as you age?
