Why did these hats fall out of favor?

If you ever watch those super-old movies from the 1940s - 1950s, you will see these hats (pics below). When and why did they fall out of favor, does anyone kinda wish they were still in style?

Same reason wearing suits/collard shirt and slacks on the norm fell out of favor. We are becoming more and more degenerate every year. Look how people dressed and acted in the 30'40's...then go on social media now..

back then men wore hats when they left the house. Didn't matter where to, you pretty much always wore a hat.

Then JFK didn't wear a hat to his inauguration and it started to dwindle.

There was a movie where a guy took his shirt off and didn't have an undershirt on and sales of mens undershirts dropped in half the next year

Different times, I guess. Now, if you wear one of those, you really come across as a gigantic try hard.

I still sometimes rock a backwards flexfit cap in the summertime like Diddy Kong circa 1995.

moreso an incel or neckbeard wear those hats now, they like to think it makes them a "gentleman" but that was in the 50s not the 2020s

girls like beanies the most for headwear especially if you have a beard it makes them wet af

hats make you look lazy, bald, or very into sports. I wear a hat because I am bald and sweat and now my head gits cold.

to everyone on earth who isnt an incel/neckbear, the only hat there that isnt a fedora is the bowler.

Every girl and 99% of men on the earth will see the rest as fedoras and incel/neckbeard attire.

Incels and neckbeards like to argue and correct people they aren't wearing a fedora when they are wearing the others because it makes them feel like less of an incel, but it doesnt.

These.

JFK and the hippy/long hair movement for men. Long hair for men held on for a while there...60's though the 80's...after that it dropped off a lot.

I frequently wear a fedora when I go to the office in a suite or sports coat and odd trousers. Panama hat with a seersucker suit when it's hot.

Virgo told a funny story about him-he got rubber stamps of his signature made & took them to a signing event rather than use a pen-which went down like a lead balloon. A father said his kid really wanted his signature once, so he did it & then stole the expensive pen.
