It depends on how "loyal" the friends were. If I could control them, like a gang leader, then having a 1000 strong gang at your disposal would be groovy. If they were just 'hang-out' friends who flaked if they had something better to do and drifted off over the next year, then I would just take the $$.

I'd rather have 20 good friends who like to do fun traveling and chit over the other options.

Friends can make life more enjoyable, help with isolation and loneliness, good to hang out with etc

They are loyal as in they will try very hard to spend time with you if you wanted them too, and they will remain friends for life.

You can control them for things like asking to hang out, gym together, eat out, go to clubs or bars, or just talking to them on the phone etc. But you cannot control them to do things like crime or steal money or beat people up etc

I need the 100k right now. I’d be happy with 5 true friends. I don’t think anybody has 1000 friends.

The right friends (ie "network") might be worth more than 100k, but that's a huge stretch.

I'll take the money instead of gambling that some of 1000 friends are some hotshots that can get my foot in the door with something big.

1000 friends? Sounds like 1000 people I probably won't have anything to do with after a few years. I'll take the money.

This is tough. As much as I'd like 1000 loyal friends, I'm assuming true friends, I need the money. That's enough for erasing debt, getting my bachelor's, and a down payment on a house.

The way i think of it, $100,000 would help a lot but its possible to make that much if you work hard and long enough. 1000 friends i believe is simply impossible for most people, especially loyal friends.
In my entire life i probably made around 10-15 people i considered true friends, and i lost most of them. So 1000 loyal friends would be sweet

These are loyal friends, all 1000 of them. Unless you get bored of them and want them to leave you alone they will, but if you want to, they can stay by your side and support you for life

Obviously 100k cash tax free. All it takes is one good friend to be better than 1000 of them anyways. OP why you always posting about friends and relationships and sh!t? You gotta learn to love being alone bro, its not that bad.
