What was your bp average?
What meds did they prescribe?

I was on Amlodipine for like 8 months....got to where I just never felt like I had any energy, so I stopped taking it, started running more and changed jobs (less stress) and decreased my caffeine intake and it came back down without meds.

Can’t believe you posted this. I finally took my first pill yesterday. I do not feel myself today at all. No way I can keep taking it. I’ll drop caffeine and alcohol all together and start meditating rather than taking this.

Took my blood pressure in the grocery store the other day. 129 over 82, apparently that qualifies as prehypertension. Is it over for me OP?

My cousin is taking BP meds and the sides are insane, he has to take them really early in the morning or else he wont be able to drive it makes him fall asleep for an hour, after that he is good, same thing at night.

Also makes him irritable for some reason, and gives him hard stools he said he needs to drink prune juice.

It is the total obsession with sticking you on meds without trying different things first-just upping brisk walking levels has been shown as very good, in fact better than BP medication, better than pain relief meds at reducing pain & also good at reversing type 2 diabetes with diet changes.
