-Grew up in low income, wasn't expecting financial help with college, got some scholarships and grants though
-Worked helpdesk in college making $9/hr, eventually $10/hr
-Graduated college at 22, had $18k student loan debt
-Starting career making $60k/yr, no work from home, no overtime pay despite working overtime hours, no 401k match, crappy benefits
-A year later got promoted to $66k/yr, but with the same things going on above
-Left company and got a job at another company making $70k/yr base, with work from home, with overtime pay, with stock option bonuses, with annual bonuses, with 401k match, 21 days off PTO/vacation a year
-Student loans got paid off, but right at the same time unfortunately my car started dying on me

Fast forward 3 years, and looking ahead 2 months from now...

-Will be making $84k/yr base, with work from home + overtime pay + stock options + annual bonuses + 401k match, 401k will be fully vested to me, 26 days off PTO/vacation a year

Best thing about this whole situation to me is the work from home... doing chores and eating groceries while on the clock is great, zero commute is great.

There's always that one guy out there like you that wants to be a problem, I think they get intimidated by my presence
You cry like a baby cuz you’re not a “boomer lapdog”? That makes zero sense lmfao. Go get a job where you can work remote dumbass.

And why is my perfect chest hair constantly on your mind? Pretty gay if you ask me….

This is a safe space for those who, for instance, might have been bullied or made to feel inadequate early on in life, and endeavored to "set themselves apart" from the pack. We don't judge here.

This is the thread to gloat about your salary and accomplishments, or other material possessions you're really proud of
This comes off as really salty however I can understand how misc status posturing can get a little annoying.

Unfortunately this type of thread and tone is just going to backfire and it looks like it already has.

EDIT: Trust me, I know the grind can be bleak and feel meaningless. All the more motivation to get out of it and find a balance that makes you happy.

HINT - No one wants to hire/promote an entitled miserable crybaby like OP who can't shut up about how much he hates the very people who pay his salary and is comfortable providing no actual value.

With his attitude, OP is the last person any company would want to hire/promote.

A good start for OP would be to stop crying and fist himself.

That said, I made about 225k last year (not including investments/other income) working 100% from home.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
