I usually go to the Arclight with THX sound in Hollywood or the AMC Burbank 16 with Dolby Atmos+Dolby Vision and a Dual Laser Projection System. My favorite is the 70 MM REAL IMAX on Universal Citywalk. Haven't been there in a long time. I heard they're going to change it to a Laser Projection System soon. It sucks that it's getting harder and harder to watch it on REAL film(especially 70mm).
I heard that the Beverly Cinema plays a lot of 35mm films so I'll defiantly have to check it out.

Yeah, its a revival house and they play 35mm of mostly older or cult classics. The prices are cheap as fuk for tickets and concessions.

They are playing The Terminator on the 25th and a blaxploitation double feature later that night.

Its a great place to keep an eye on because you might come across an old favorite and get a chance it see on the big screen in 35mm.

Why? You can just stream it in the comfort of your own living room instead of dealing with a plume of vape smoke or fedoras getting in the way of your viewing pleasures.

See post #3 for why. And its a respectful place, most people there are fedora wearing geeks, but if you fuk around they throw you out.

Went when I was in LA last time and it was great. Cheap concessions, dude who helped write Dolomite and the Assassination of Gianni Versace came by and gave a little talk before the showing.

Wood recommend/10 ended up getting free tickets to the comedy store from some dude while I was there too even though they were sold out that night.

Fukin' awesome!

I've seen old-time actor Clu Gulager every time I've been there. He was probably there when you there too, he never misses a show and has his own seat with his name on it...lol

Never have, my friend and I used to fly down a couple times a year and watch movies, drive around the Hollywood Hills, eat at our favorite places, go on studio tours, etc. Fun stuff, haven't been in years though, the place seems like a disaster now for a number of reasons. I'd like to go back one of these days to visit my favorite theaters.

Fuarkkk I probably missed him but it was a great experience. I wish I had been there longer for some of the old school horror flicks since it was around Halloween.

Wood also highly suggest the Orpheum in cape cod if you find yourself vacationing on the east coast for some reason. The bar there is solid.

Theres one sorta cool theater that was converted from a dentist's office, its poorly sound proofed, sits like 50 people. Some of the stuff they play is cool, but a lot of it isn't worth going out of my way for...And they still require masks
