Why are rentcels so bitter about everything
Basically it’s always the same thing:
-I could have invested the money I saved by renting in an index fund and got a better return (which they never did, just their theory)
-Don’t want to be a slave to the bank (ok sure just give your landlord a weekly rimjob for the privilege of living in his house)
-I want the flexibility to move for my career (again they never do, but in any case you can sell or rent a property you bought and make a tidy profit)
Never encountered such a bitter group of people with such transparent cope.
Spoiler!

I'm Australian and have a few properties myself. So this comment is referring to the property market in Australia.
But even the "I'm investing for a better return" doesn't make sense because your rent is basically the mortgage repayment after you've payed your deposit.
I can't think of any actual financially beneficial reason to NOT own a property here.
It's literally one of the most crucial things to retiring, being mortgage free with a property.

I actually have a place in Perth, and my parents like most Australians have about 10 houses or so.
I'm under no illusion you have loads of money like many Australians but, what annoys me about you Gojirra is that you think you have any authority to speak on the US market?? your obviously not good enough to be here in America, where you know all Australians here in US are making the big bucks, what makes you think your opinion has any validity.
The US Housing Market is getting crunched, I've seen it before and i'll see it again, Even the fed last weekend here told people to epxect a major housing crash, it's just the real estate mafia covered it up with a bunch of feel good mafia media articles, Like Australia it's a total cartel. I just feel for all the plebs, (Mainly blacks and hispanics) who got suckered into Ninja loans again and added with a new 60k Car that will be worth 30k in two years.
Your a loser government worker with a wife who is probably some feminist phd speaker at ANU. If you were in AMerica you wouldn't be making 60k between ya. FACTS and REKT

Of course they are quiet nowadays, for years they were laughing about the crypto "scam"

My phucking landlord is from some weird eastern European country like Russia or something. Dude always comes over without calling and wants to just hang out and talk about the old country and how his mom thinks covid is a US government weapon.
I don't know man, I try not to judge people but this dude just seems like he is trying to flex about "owning property" all the time, but I just had this HTC sloot over who jammed up my toilet so I called this brah to come plunger out her heiny vipers while he's telling me I'm a fool for investing my IT salary in gold.
Guess everyone's gotta learn the hard way though. Wish him luck srs.

Because people can't even afford to buy home and raise families anymore. And the reason for that is because rich people own 50 different properties each.

The only reasons could be less chance of a fall through if the bank doesn't approve and you can close a bit faster.
Selling a house is probably the largest financial deal for your average person so it's granted to take time.

As for “a bit faster” - you’re often talking about up to a month sooner. At the height of last year’s boom banks were taking up to 45 days or even more to process loans even with pre approval. If you go in with cash, no contingencies, guess which buyer they will go with
