Does anyone actually understand the Tinder Algorithm?

I reset my profile to re-match with sl00ts with dead conversations, but now suddenly I am getting no likes for days. My profile was getting an average of about 10 likes a day before I reset. What do you have to do to get to the top of the cards?? Reps for answers....

Basically you make a new account and get a bunch of matches everyday for a week or so, then your account falls off, few to little matches... You can reset your profile after a certain period and you will get that "noob boost" again, then after a week it will die down again. If you keep resetting too much you can get shadowbanned and some other weird stuff. Overall tinder nowadays is a scam to get people to buy tinder gold/boosts and what not.

Yea it’s called be in the top 5 percent of men looks wise or the top 80 percent of women, or else get no results.

their shadowbanning system is very sophisticated

they have facial recognition and a bunch of other chit to catch people making new accounts (ded srs)

The better looking you are and the more ratio of likes:dislikes you get the more visible you will be to other people who get more likes:dislikes ratios.

but total numbers also count you cant just like 3 girls who like you back and have a 100% like:dislikes ratio

It follows the same model social media did, also the same model onlyfans did, it yields the best profits to make the most liked people the most visible people.

Also the more attractive available real people the more people will use and pay for the app.

this is too rudimentary and the problem is the majority of tinder users arent top quality, they may have used this algorithm at first but the problem arises when now all the ugly people are only seeing ugly people, you STILL get ugly people spending more money and keeping the app if you show them pretty people and keep them thinking they have a 1/100 chance one of them will swipe right to them.

yup, its all a marketing tool but its sold as a way to match attractive people with attractive people, but like I said in my post its really just a tool to sell more and keep more people on their. Following loosely the same model as all other social media where the people getting the most attention receive the most support for getting more attention.

My guess based on convos I’ve had with my wife’s single friends who still match and meet guys who are “normal” looking and within their looks range, is that they can looksmatch you based on matches/likes. If you are being a greedy incel who only accepts 8+ women when you are a 5+ male is they cut you off.

Just an outside observation based on what I’ve seen irl vs misc.

The algorithm works against me because most of the profiles I see are all mostly attractive females. So I’ll swipe right on most and my profile I’m sure gets dinged for that.
