Even the farm feed has soy and corn so I still don’t see how you’re eating a soy free diet.

vegetable oils are definitely poisonous.

However, I'd place obesity as more of an effect of cheap simple sugars that are processed by the body and turned into harmful fats at a higher rate than most fats themselves.

It's a chronic consumption thing. Over time, linoleic acid in particular builds up in your fat cells and cell membranes and breaks your metabolism.

Processed sugar is not good, but excess linoleic acid consumption vastly reduces your capacity to metabolise sugar, so it's a one-two punch.

The really problematic component of seed oils is the polyunsaturated fat linoleic acid. Monogastric animals like pigs, chicken and humans cannot saturate it and so it just accumulates in the fat. By the time pigs get slaughtered they can have 30% of their fat as linoleic acid, whereas seed oils range from 15 to 50 or so %

I’m sorry I’m really trying to hop on board this but 80% is absolute garbage and 20% is interesting but has no science/studies at all backing up the claims on effects on population and comparison to the other oils.

Every single argument about omega 6 to omega 3 is a ridiculous. That doesn’t make the oil inherently bad. It makes your stupid garbage diet of mostly processed foods bad. There’s no reason light frying use once a day with a blend of canola/evoo should upset your balance that much unless you were already fukking up with what you put in your body.

GMO automatically makes somthing bad ? Do you eat bananas ? Do you eat potatoes ? No some gmo is bad some is good. Show me the fukking actual science and studies linking how the modifications created somthing toxic.

Don’t share this broscience about “we never ate it before so it’s bad”. Cuz there’s tons of stuff that DOESNT apply too. It’s not a scientific statement, it involves no understanding of how our bodies break down and utilize nutrients.

The whole “was once toxic waste” bit is tacky and sensationalist. It was used as lighting fuel… cuz it’s oil.

And alot of the arguments about oxidation when heating and carcinogenic radicals forming and antioxidants dying applies to ALL FATS.

Now onto the stuff I’m desperately trying to like.

The hydrogenation process creating lineac whatever buildup. Clearly it’s waaay to much in most people which clearly means their chit diet involves a very displaced omega 3 to 6 ratio. Again this doesn’t make the oil bad just the processed food trend and the ingredients picked prioritizing profits over nutrition (thanks capitalism). But would love to see more studies on the toxicity’s in any of the specific compounds created during hydrogenation and effects on humans (not like another bs aluminum deodorant scare which doesn’t check out scientifically)

Now some of my other questions so avocado and coconuts are good what about things like peanuts or other nut oils. Maybe artisanal blends and less heating / cold pressed versions. I don’t understand why these specific oils get picked but the whole family of seeds/veggies gets demonized. Is it a seed / nut distinction or is it a PROCESSING issue. In which case many things like a cold press artisanal sesame oil would be very healthy (again assuming you have a proper omega 3/6 ratio)

Basically it reeks like fad/diet selling BS trying to overstate things and play into your confirmation bias while having its own agenda and overstating things / not actually interested in the science of what’s good for you.

Dioxins are some of the most toxic compounds on Earth, they are ubiquitous, accumulating in the fatty tissues of animals with predatory animals having the highest levels.

~95% of human exposure from these toxic compounds comes through food with the highest concentration coming from fish, eggs and dairy, it is not presentinplants.

When animals have excessively high levels, they will sequester the toxic compounds in milk and eggs as protection, this includes humans.

If your wife breast feeds your child while consuming large amounts of these compounds then she will pass poison to the child through her breast milk in an effort to protect her own body.

Dioxins are natural, you cannot avoid them completely, if humans did not exist then dioxins would still be produced.

The only way for a human to limit consumption is to limit consumption of animal fats.

Linoleic acid in hunter gatherers makes up about 2% of calories. It stsrtd becoming problematic at 5% or more. Modern diets it can be 15+%.

Linoleic acid is an omega 6 fatty acid and competes with omega 3 conversion pathways. This is why 3:6 ratio appears important during studies, but the truth is that if you consume an evolutionarily consistent amount of Linoleic acid (2% of calories), then you need far less omega 3 because you can synthesise it from its precursors such as ALA.

Further, when unsaturated fats are metabolised, they give different FADH2:NADH ratios which promote obesity and reduce metabolic rate
