Anyone notice how insecure guys love to comment on guys good looks in public?

I think this is a trend in insecure guys. They do it because they don't want something to think they are jealous of a guys good looks. So they will publicly let everyone know what a raging hardon they have for X guy even though they are straight. Ofc there is nothing wrong with noticing a guy is good looking or talented or rich or charming or whatever. But continuously fawning over it is just a defence mechanism so no one want thinks that they are jealous.

also, what would be the correct way to write the title? it doesn't seem to roll off cleanly. I'm think 'Anyone notice how, insecure guys love to comment on guys good looks in public?'

seems to make a bit more sense.

how about nothing? why do you feel pressured to talk about a guys looks? funny thing is a guy in a crowd is more likely to comment on a guys looks rather than a girls looks.

So by your definition, you're an insecure man, no? Instead of doing nothing and not making this thread, here we are.

how else would i let someone know of my observation if i don't talk about it? how does anyone share observations then and question whether someone has noticed a similar observation?

why are you so upset? if you wanna call someone beautiful you can do it. it's 2022, no one will sodomise you for it. if you disagree with my post then you can say so too. all entries are valid in my diary.

Needing validation isn't a characteristic of a secure man.

How am I coming across upset? I don't care if you're right or wrong. I'm just here pointing out the flaws in your logic.

You are either way overthinking it, or you hang around total soycel twinks who would be like that.

I seldom discuss the look of men because I am not gay. I discuss the looks of women, because I am interested in women sexually. Since I am not into men, my thought process never inclines me to discuss their looks, unless brought into some sort of philosophical conversation about it. I discuss the looks of women with other straight men like myself because it is enjoyable to drool over the idea of banging said women (in a respectable manner, ofc).

Might want to reassess who you associate with, or perhaps your own feelings on the matter if you think it needs to be any more complicated than that.

Yeah, there's a whole subset of men that are basically as catty as women. They tend to be the corporate careermaxxing types who see every social encounter as a battle to be won.

i dont think ive ever heard it in my life. back when i worked at a grocery store, i was really into fitness and i had a weightlifting magazine in my cart or something and some guy that worked there (i forgot what he was) called me a "pretty boy". i honestly only think i've heard it negatively. im really trying to rack my mind and think about a time i ever heard someone say " oh that guy is so good looking"

and im not talking about looks but most guys have a hard time admitting someone is better than them

most guys egos are hellbent on being a provider and their pride is centered around women. i think "women" is why they care about social status. not sure they would if you eliminated women and it were just about survival. That's why I say most guys are in deep and don't realize it. They may indirectly, they want to aspire to be good but I think they are more caught up in that aspiration than to realize where it's coming from. Everytime they boast it is more about women. Think about it.. if you have brethren and they really are your bros are you gonna tell them you're better than them? Simultaneously, every time they boast they are inflating the value of women (and don't realize it)

i would say someone whos established may not care as much, but only if the threat is indirect. if you pit them 1 vs. 1 or are very direct and they lose they still wouldn't like it

you can look at athletes and they are trained in their organization how to speak to the media, which gives off the impression that they are humble and chit. i promise you that is not the case. ego is a big reason why those guys are there. pit a batter and a pitcher one vs. one and the hitter hits a hr and shows up the pitcher. i guarantee you the pitcher will be mad

in fact, an "unwritten rule" in baseball is that the next batter might be getting beaned

I admire guys that are tall, handsome, and jacked because they remind me of my goals. I have the tall part, working on the handsome and jacked part.

That being said saying something out loud about it seems kind of embarrassing, like people might question if you are straight. Keep it to yourself.

The highlighted bit is a good summary but overall you're spot on. Cringe as fuk when some guys are so insecure that they have to trash talk randoms that have nothing to do with them. It's like I get it, you have chit lifts/physique/trying to compensate for chit face with roids/crap financial standing whatever it may be. But did it ever occur to you if you focused on yourself rather than bitch like a pussy then you'd actually improve?
