How do you all work well with others? srs question
For me, the most stressful part of any job has been the co workers.
The three worst type have always been:
- The complainer: always complain about the job and talk smack about the coworkers. ALL DAY
- The victim: the one who thinks everyone is against them when things don't go smoothly.
- The one who does whatever they want regardless of the rules: they make up their own rules, sometimes at the expense of the team and the company.
I stay positive and minimize the gossip to nothing. I focus on my task but it's so toxic to be around these people I swear.
Wish I could fire them lol, I just use that annoyance as a fuel to start my own company but that won't be for a year at least once I got the fund.
Any tips on how work better with others?

I work by myself and really only interact with customers on service calls. Occasionally get the psychotic customer but I don't put up with it. I just grab my tools and leave. Did that last week actually... I'm pretty mellow though.

Depends on the environment but I usually find there's one grade-A dickhead for every 10 normal people. So it's pretty easy unless the dickhead is your boss. I work pretty well with most people.

I prefer to have as little interaction as possible with everyone except the two or three people I really like. When I’m forced to interact I keep it as professional as possible and ignore everything personal. I basically try to pretend they don’t exist until I have to talk to them about work.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

The ones I struggle with the most are the so called “go-getters”
The ones that add on extra work/details to a project that are totally unnecessary because by doing more they feel like they’re doing a better job.
Really, they’re just making more work for the team.
An example of this would be documenting every step of what is done and logging it somewhere. I have one co-worker who writes end of week summary emails to the team about what was done that week and what will be done next week. Now I have to them as well, just because it was a “good idea”.
F*ck these ass holes creating extra work for people when things are going just fine without your dumb ass trying to pile on with stupid processes like this.

Usually IME the Complainer is a combination of complaining, brownosing and condescension.
Its not only the endless complaining, but they do it in such an obsequious way to supplicate to the boss. Coupled with the constant condescension and insulting and putting down other workers, usually in the boss' presence, to sore petty brownie points.
I don't know how to deal with them other than to try to avoid them. They make the workplace insufferably toxic. There was one girl I remember who constantly did this and I had to fight with every fibre of my being not to punch her in the kunt.

It’s fine if they want to do those themselves, but forcing your associates to do those is annoying. I was hired to do a certain job. Ever think I’m not interested in expanding my skill set to serve the company better? Maybe I’m good.
But no, companies are all about how they can milk more out of an employee even if they’re completely meeting their job responsibilities. It’s always about how can you do more.
Seriously f*ck off. If you don’t want to promote me ever I’m totally cool with that. I’m high enough in my field I literally don’t need promotions. Yearly pay increase to keep up with inflation over time is literally all I need. So let me just keep doing what I’m doing like you hired me for and stop asking me to develop and grow.
Of course you can’t say any of that though so it’s always some song and dance about how I want to learn X this year then spend the whole year tip toeing around it that I’ll start once I find the time or get a break in work.

this actually sounds about right.
I've found the more i made the less chitheads I've had to deal with.
they are still out there but i can shut them down when I've had my fill because i have work to do and can't do it with them yapping in my ear.

I think the higher level of performance that you reach the chiller and more focused people are
I have worked some hard jobs and people had a reason to be bitter, we were being taken advantage of
Still I kept it positive by just focusing hard on work and trading interesting stories with my coworkers to pass the time
Really, I think the attitude of the leadership reflects of the attitude of the business or organization
If everyone is being paid fairly, treated with dignity, and rewarded for hard work, the company will mog at unseen heights
