Sits at 56 most days...i thought there was something wrong with me after reading chit online then i remembered most of the US is full of fat pieces of chit and that's what the data is based on. Cardio an hour a day since turning 30 crew. I don't care about lifts near as much as i used to after seeing my dad have two open heart surgeries. Aesthetics are nice but living long without heart issues is way nicer IMO.

So let's talk about what devices you all use because testing proves that the numbers and accuracy vary from device to device.
You can grip the heart rate handles on a treadmill and check your fitbit at the same time and see a huge swing in the numbers.
I have seen a 15 point difference.

tested it with a friends watch (don't know which one) by wearing one on each arm and it was more or less the same
in any case I don't think too much of it, if you consistently use the same device at least you can track progression or suspicious rises

I only use the Tickr for my data because there is more data there like HRV (Garmin does so much more with the data than Apple could ever dream of - VO2 Max, FTP, etc.) but they mirror each other for a workout. Meaning they will show almost exactly within 1-2 bmp the same low and high as well as average HR. The Tickr is instantaneous though - as soon as I increase effort it shows up immediately on my Garmin. When I ride, I dont even log my workouts on the Apple; I depend solely on the Tickr when I am doing zone training. The Apple Watch has a definite lag of a few seconds, but its insignificant in the grand scheme because it captures all of the data and the final results are accurate. Going for a ride this afternoon - will report results when I get back.
Funnily enough, my Apple Watch has stopped giving me the 'low heart rate notification'
***Edit.
Started within 10 seconds of each other for a 1 hr ride.
Apple Watch Avg 152 Range 115-175
Tickr Chest Avg 154 Range 113-175

Not bad for 274 pounds boyos. I had to check it a few times to make sure lol. It's gone down with all the cardio I've done in recent months.
