Like any other bill that comes out of the CA legislature, it sounds good at first, but there's always an underlying motive that profits the elite at the expense of the plebs....

This bill will "try" to keep that from happening, but if that's the case, why would the company(ies) bother staying there to pay high health insurance for less hours worked?

As w/ all things Democrats touch or plan, nothing about how this affects the state in the future has been taken into account.

The bill says the salary/compensation must remain the same, for working less time.

This will kill smaller businesses that make people work 40 hours a week and can't afford to up employee compensation.

I agree with this.

Many Euro nations have 4 day work weeks with great results.

Most of the time office cels are just talking, day dreaming, texting etc. anyways. A condensed workweek sounds good.

LOL at kill smaller businesses

Those employees who work for smaller businesses aren't working any more during their 40 hours than those employed by large corporations. The 40 hour work week is a scam. Just as much can and will be produced in 32 hours if companies maintain the same performance expectation each week. Employees easily piss away 50% of the week doing nothing. We could trim to 20 hours a week and most companies, smaller included, will be fine.
