No we knew about that cancer tumor before the heart and kidney issues, he planned to have it removed this week, but ended up in the hospital because of the backpain, then they sent him to another better hospitl then the found the hole in his aorta. Hes a mess pretty much

I’m curious now.

So he has some sort of aortic-heart issue which is under control. Not a cardiologist.

Kidney disease which apparently is under control, is he receiving dialysis for this?

Any diabetes?

Receiving nutrition via PEG tube, but can he receive any food/liquid by mouth?

Is he getting out of bed? Getting dressed? Can he sit at the edge of bed?

How are his vitals? Are they stable, or do they fluctuate with positional change?

And again, how are his labs?

Lost my dad a little over a year ago OP, have my measlies, I haven't been the same since. Be with him as much as you can and most of all be with your family brah, no time to misc, only family time.

Aortic dissection is very rarely survivable. It usually results in death even if emergency services are nearby

Signs and symptoms that your thoracicaortic aneurysm has burst include: Sudden, intense and persistent chest or back pain

Lost my dad a bit over a year ago. My advice is that whatever the long term outcome, spend as much quality time as possible with him now.

hey brother. The Aorta is high pressure and high volume artery. It comes off the hearts output. It has 2 layers. Aortic aneurysm and Aortic dissection are when one of the layers rips. It's a ticking time bomb at that point. If both layers rupture, the whole body blood volume empties into your chest cavity within 1 minute. It's about 1.6 gallons of blood for adults. There is no surviving this, as putting the person on a heart bypass machine will take longer than 6 minutes, the human brain is completely dead after 6 minutes. You see the conundrum.
