NASA did use English units in Apollo, probably because the aerospace industry and pilots were much better accustomed to them....it appears they actually used a mix (which to me, would be most confusing). However NASA has since moved toward SI since that's the standard for science, such as in any current or future missions to Mars (where they dont have to deal with 50s-60s era trained military pilots and engineers who were much more familiar with imperial units).

Also half the misc seems to think the moon is made of cheese or we never went to the moon (smdh), so maybe not the best example to use on here.
