Angry altercation with someone isn’t an excuse to shoot. Don’t see how he could argue fear for life when he initiated confrontation and made no attempt whatsoever to de escalate.

They should start making it a law where you cannot use a firearm in the event of a 1v1 fight.

You cannot kill another person based on the potential of being hurt from a 1v1.

Even in a fight, the cause of death from a gun shot is going to be alot higher than from the potential of getting knocked out or getting body slammed on your head.

Idk just a thought for starters. Something's gotta be done about this.

Don't park in other people's spots. The man pays for the spot, it's his property, this is no different than driving your car into someone's lawn.

I had to deal with a retard who kept parking in my spot and would not move his car. Until I called to have his car towed. When he runs out to stop the tow driver from hooking up his car, I confronted him. I asked him how much of my mortgage he was paying. When he replied none I told him to not park in my fuking spot. He never did again.

My ex used to get angry and start BS jockeying crap and hollering in traffic situations. Would talk him down.

I found out after he had passed that he got punched by some guy he confronted at a grocery store in MI who was hassling an employee and refusing to wear a mask.

My brother was assaulted last summer. It was a guy he had known for years who live a few blocks away. They had an ongoing conflict re:a damaged car engine. The other man had said he had a friend who was a mechanic, but somehow the man and his mechanic friend kept failing to show.

My brother was standing at the curb and I assume the two were yelling at each other. But my brother didn't expect his friend to come out of his garage swinging a sword [really]. He used his hand to block the blade and nearly lost about half of his hand. Kept all his digits, though I don't believe he will regain regular function.

Last I heard I believe his former buddy was looking at 10 years or better for the assault.

Maybe 6 months ago I posted a couple of months worth of shootings for DFW. A lot of them were traffic related or people at a club or a party where some sort of conflict escalated.

I don't know if it is a new thing, or if it has just increased a lot the last few years.

Would you have potentially killed him for it if you were just renting that spot?

No. But I wasn't renting. I would have gotten him towed every day. BTW, this is after months of this guy parking in my spot.

I've supposedly "stole" a parking spot in two separate incidents at grocery stores.. where I guess I took a spot someone was waiting for but I didn't realize it

2 incidents where dingers both times came at me wanting to fight in the parking lot. Both times I offered to move my car and apologized for the inconvenience but they were still outrage

just be careful and make sure you don't park in a dingers spot, they will kill you over it

Gonna cost dude in bathrobe a lot of money even if ruled self defense. He should have killed the guy to at least win something. Now he's going to lose a civil suit and go bankrupt.

Would have been cheaper to buy a tow truck and wait for him to park there.

I watched the video a few times and it looks like the dude was creeping up in an attack stance and at the very end I see an acceleration towards bathrobe.

Wins criminal, loses civil. Should have shot a few more times to really show he was in fear and killed the guy.

So I’ll just save you and I the trouble of the pointless argument.

Yes there are very limited exceptions to the law that you can shoot ppl if necessary to protect yourself from deadly harm. But the *law* is no shooting ppl — there are exceptions or defenses, but the law is no shooting ppl.

And yes, the general law would cover the situation of the 1 v 1 fight in your post without exception.

This.

There's been a lot of people who have died or been seriously injured from one punch or a fist fight. Stuff happens fast.

Personally I would have avoided the situation and used financial means like tow trucks to stop the neighbor or install a barrier with a remote control.

I bet you that fukker has liability insurance, and won't pay a dime besides his montlhy membership fee. In a tactical standpoint he was compltely wrong to even provoke the dude, but once that guy started aggressively creeping up to him he became a threat. In the state of Texas, all you have to prove is that you feared an immediate potenital threat, not what Billy and Susan think. Way too many opinions based off personal biases ITT. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

It may seem stupid but she probably prevented the shooter from finishing off the tradie. Guys don't normally harm women or babies as they don't see them as a threat. Instincts probably had a role to play in it too.

No one thinks in a court of law that is justified. But tbh, feels kinda good some shyt bag who has the nerve to bother his neighbor, cuss him out, and advance on him somewhat menacingly with his large friend. Does anyone want to pretend this is the first time he's been a shytbag to the guy? We all know that isn't the case.
