Anyone have a Samsung S22?

Looks like I'm getting a new job, and they will pay for anything that makes me more productive.

So, I may as well get a nice phone. I'd like a large display, and the S22 looks pretty slick. If I trade in my current phone I get $400 off, so about $800 for the phone. I've always used androids because I-phones don't seem like a good value, but the S22 is the same price as the newest I-Phone so I suppose those are in play too.

What does misc think.

edit: the ultra version is what I'm looking at

Yes, not ultra.

It makes calls. My favourite app is contacts. Biggest let down is no headphone jack.

I have always had budget phones. I have a samsung A10 right now that replaced a Moto G. Right now my boss has the top of the line I-Phone, and he can work from wherever he is. My phone can't do what his can do.

So, I want to be able to do that from day 1 at the new job.

I got 3 samsung 32 inch curved monitors from Costco already for work, and 2 more for home.

Maybe some day I will get the 4th, but 2 working monitors and 1 for email is enough for me I think.

I don't know that a better phone really matters. I had an S10+, recently broke it and got a cheap $300 nokia. The only noticeable difference between my old Samsung and my new nokia is that the nokia gets motion blur easily. With the Galaxy pictures were always crisp even for things like sprinting dogs.

But really, if you can get your work to pay for a new phone, more power to you, go for it

To the helpful miscer who repped me, the note 10 has a 6.3 inch screen, the S22 ultra has a 6.8 inch screen. I think I can actually work in excel on a screen that size. totally impossible with my current phone, I'd rather fire up the laptop.

I have the zfold3 and will upgrade to the zfold4 in August.

The tablet size screen is a game changer. Makes using a phone a million times better.

Samsung Dex makes it tolerable. You can hookup a keyboard and mouse and leave the laptop elsewhere. I project to the TV quite a bit if I need to work in the loft and don't want to break out the laptop.

I use the inside screen at least 50%. I'm on it right now. I didn't know outer screen could crack. Seems super durable.

I like to lay in bed and watch movies on it while wife sleeps.

That's the regular S22, the S22 ultra has a bigger screen and some stylus the guy was telling me was great as well as a better camera.

It looks liek the Note 10 may be a viable alternative if I can get a similar discount turning in my existing phone.

And no I will never run pivot tables on my phone, but I receive a ton of excel files, and cannot even view them on my current phone.
