Radiator cracked

Just JB welded it. Wow, this stuff is magical. Its literally fuggin stone.

There was a test on youtube that put a 4000 PSI water leak to it and it only broke apart at that level.

For reference, airplane hydraulic lines are around 3000 PSI.

Anyway, new radiator coming. Any miscers actually work on their own stuff?

Easy enough. Take your time removing it and remember step by step and do it again in reverse.

most major thing i've done was replace the engine in my Bonneville a bunch of yrs back.
used my buddies lift to pick the car up off the carriage, swapped engines and lowered it back down.

I hate it when i have to take my car to the mechanic.
but sometimes it's worth it to pay someone to drill that snapped off bolt out of the engine.

A fix like this will probably get you by for a while longer.
But a proper fix will always be a complete replacement or re-conditioning of the part.

Most cars are retarded and the temperature gauge reads the coolant temperature, if all the coolant line is dry it will give a 'cold' reading while in fact your engine is going bye bye.
Right now, I think the system is all sealed up. I shouldn't lose anymore coolant, but will do. Thanks for the advice.

My advice is to remove the broken radiator and install a different one, one that isn't broken. Also make sure there is coolant in it when you are done. You're welcome.

I bought an OME new one, its here in 4 days. This JB weld is holding me over until then. I just drove around for 30 minutes, not a single drop.

Well did the engine overheat? If it did, the radiator might be the least of your problems.
