Games are kinda boring now a days

I try out loads of new games, but I keep coming back to just playing games like Forza most of the time.

I think the problem is how today's gaming industry feels hyper-focused on trends. All the AAA games are either trying to be 2deep4u or cashing in on the latest online multiplayer trends, and indie gaming seems to be focused on nothing besides 8/16-bit retro gaming style chit. I find myself going back to older games a lot these days because they simply offer fun and experiences that can't be found today.

Yeah it's like today's gamers are always trying to hype up a bunch of new chit, I might play it for an hour, then I'll go back to playing something like Forza and never play that game again.

Used to play all the “esports” games before that was actually a term. League s2-s3, wow arenas back in tbc, og wc3 dota.

I just cant get into it now. I try and just got bored and stop.

I love Cyperpunk 2077 and still gotta play Forbidden West. The rest of this year I'm hoping for The Last of Us 2 multiplayer and PSVR2. God of War is a must by and I'm keen on Splinter Cell remake.

With gaming you just gotta know what games to pick. I avoid a lot of trash from trash devs.

The scene has changed. Online gaming used to be a lot more fun, but these days it's become a serious business scene where no fun is allowed. No joke, try making a few jokes over voice chat and you will get quickly banned. Nobody besides tryhards gives a chit about today's "esport" scene. Just a bunch of people who can't have fun or enjoy anything unless they're desperately trying to be the best at it.

Whenever I think I've been getting too old for games, I just go back and play some older games, have a lot of fun, and realize how it's the scene that has changed, not me.

Over 95% of the games I play are multiplat. Why would I obsess over what games are deemed "exclusive?" That sounds like some retarded nerd chit.

Yeah gamers are a terrible, terrible group. Gamers today are a bunch of broccoli hair twinks streaming on Twitch the latest exploits and cheese to get wins. 95% of gamers today are either complete trash or cheesing game exploits for a win no matter how boring it is.

I rarely play games but I'm playing through Earthbound right now for the first time. Really entertaining and fun in a way I wouldn't have expected from the time period.

Yeah all those over hyped games are too technical and boring even a game like Hell Let Loose just isn't fun because the maps are too damn big and the people are too serious. I'd rather just fuk around on Forza it never gets boring.

I’ve been pretty addicted to Apex Legends and COD Warzone one the Xbox Series X. You might want to give those a try.

You just have to find out what you like. For me it’s multiplayer shooters.

For real. It's easy to see a big divide in the gaming demographic these days. You got the aggressive internet warriors who desperately try to control the narrative and all discussions about video games, and they are always trying to shill for whatever is popular on gaming sites at the moment. Then there's people like you and me who simply have fun playing video games as a hobby, and we're playing half the chit they're hyping up, quickly getting bored with it, and going back to the few new games that are actually fun.

I'm just glad the Xbox has such great backwards compatibility, so I can play a ton of older games whenever I want.

I mean for starters the mainstream gamer audience has become oddly far left and political, then there's the fact that they are always pulling that kinda bullchit. I remember back in the day when we would just enter cheat codes or use gameshark and have a laugh at breaking games. Now a days it's just become some obsessive exploit driven bullchit to get wins on the internet. That's pretty much what being a gamer is all about these days, trying to get wins on the internet one way or the other.

Yeah I forgot about the extreme leftists like Resetera, downright horrible forum that might as well be ran by a left leaning Hitler. A lot of gamers are also very stupid, they support Companies like Activision, EA, and Ubisoft who **** out trash game after trash game. I've been telling people how terrible EA was for YEARs, I didn't think they would break Battlefield, but that show's the company's incompetency. Gamers also spend billions on microtransactions like GTA who made Billions on mtx online and is why the industry is so stagnant. If you ask me, if my game was popular with mtx, I'd definitely keep them in to reap the money from all these nerds and casuals.

Ive been playing black desert again. 11/10 game if you havent tried it yet. Currently is free, very f2p friendly, you get the 2nd best gear in the game just from doing the storyline. Also has tons of **** to do. 30,000+ quests, 400km2 size map, pvp, life skills, raids, guilds. Bdo is the best game Ive played in the past 10yrs srs and it got remastered recently too.
