And it's funny because they all used the "emergency" approval as an excuse for not taking the vaccine, but then switched to another excuse once they gained full FDA approval. It doesn't matter what the excuse is, they will continue to choose to be stupid.

The whole giving blood is actually a great analogy. One thing I can't stand about these militant virtue signal advocates is how they want to get in your face about what you should be doing and then they do things where they don't actually do anything for anyone, but just to put on a show, and then claim the moral high ground. So if you care so much, what are you doing outside of symbolism? If there is a blood shortage, why aren't you out there donating blood? Care about the homeless? Go work a soup kitchen or some other activity. Don't do it just to show off for social media. Care about homeless animals, adopt some, donate food, money to organizations, go volonteer at a shelter, they always need help. Care about peopel actually care aboutthem. Voting for politicians who want to use my tax dollars isn't caring. Robbing Peter to Donate to Paul isn't morally right.

It's been a long time since I have blood. Mainly because I'm O+ and they harass dafuq out of me once I do. Plus, no lie, I hate needles. Mostly because I know they charge for the blood, and I'm not looking to make money off of it, but I want a cut, even if it was 15-20 to compensate me for my time, I'd do it, but giving them a free product to sell. Plus hearing that they do sometimes use donated blood to fush out someone who has toxic levels of drugs they took pisses me off.

IMO, it's nothing to do with the vaccine itself. There's even less reason to be scared of this vaccine than a old school vaccine. Because I've repeatedly explained the emergency approval absolutely does not mean some evil company set out to do harm or cut corners WRT to safety or scientific knowledge. Every precaution was still taken there.


Why the vaccines were quick to produce and streamline through approval was because of the technology in producing mRNA is efficient, and surprise, surprise, a once in a lifetime pandemic just might be able to supersede the boring bureaucracy and pencil-pushing with approval which is what ordinarily takes up large swathes of time in this process.



IMO, it's nothing to do with the vaccine. It's the general mindset and appeal of conspiracy theories; wanting to be edgy and feeling like you've got access to some sort of inside knowledge the rest of us don't. But I've explained in the past it''s anything but anti-conformity; it's really another form of conformism.

That wasn't my point.

If you got polio, regardless of your health status going in, if it was symptomatic, it was going to be bad.

With covid, if you are symptomatic and in good health otherwise, it's likely going to be mild.

Do you understand the difference?

Right but if you got a mild case or a bad case it was all by chance. Covid severity seems to be directly correlated to your general health.
