Purpose of kettlebell swings? (Kettlebell misc gtfih)

What're the main benefits of this exercise?

Hips/leg drive? Cardio endurance?

Is this a joke? It's like the best exercise you can do. Cardio, legs, butt, abs all in one workout.

Properly done, they are excellent for fat loss, building leg and abs, and building endurance. Even some traps and shoulder work. I try to do em after legs on leg day as a finisher. Brutal af

'srs? Brutal if true

If the shoulders aren't actively resisting/assisting the movement it shouldn't do that though no?

Read that they would help my lower back and forearm soreness so I started doing a couple sets as a warm up most days. Back and forearm have improved. Might be coincidence but feels good and no discernable drawbacks so I'm going to keep doing them.

I have shoulder issues and haven't experienced any aggravation since I started doing them. Seems like you're doing them wrong I'd they are hurting your rotator cuff. You shouldn't be trying to lift it.

If done properly pretty good almost full body exercise.

Problem is most people don't do them properly and fck their lower backs.
