i'm convinced stress is a large contributor for insane test levels

short story. i'm usually a very pussy driver, i wait for people when we cross, let cars cut in etc. today huge traffic jam and i'm in an angry mood. normally i'll just move out of the way for people cos i cba (low test). today i got out of my car 3 times to tell people to back up (you know when one car has to give way). ngl, it felt slightly exhilarating and i kinda wish i like this more often but guess i'm just a low test bitch. but i could feel the test and low inhibition running through me. felt so good mannow i just wanna jump on test.

ANYWAY

got me thinking, environments like prison, rough upbringing, tough sports. all highly stressful and all produce some high test freaks. wonder if the more stressful lifestyle yields higher test individuals or whether an optimal relaxed lifestyle yields higher test.

EDIT: small edit, i also wonder. i've been so nonchalant and carefree and idgaf the last few years. i wonder if this has all been cope because i'm too scared of confronting.

yes dear diary, count yourselves lucky, you're getting glimpses into a wonder boy's mind here srs.

fak, i also remembered hearing cigarettes increases stress. maybe it's the wrong way around. stressed individuals gravitate towards more low inhibition habits and therefore yield higher testosterone levels.

Incorrect.

Testosterone decreases as cortisol, the “stress hormone” increases.

There are things you can do to lower your cortisol and increase testosterone like deliberate breathing, sitting/standing in a “victory” pose (with your arms up and out making an upside down triangle) etc.

Do you think it is possible you were actually calm, or relatively comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation?

i used to think this too. but i think there might be another mechanism involved. maybe like some type of survival instinct? i guess the nature of the stress is important too. financial/social problems? soul sucking. someone in your face everyday forcing you to adapt? maybe a slight test boost.

i've tried some breathing techniques and they were great for cardio but i'm not convinced about 'test' increases. maybe i'll give it a go. slightly related, screaming to rock songs always pumps me up

and zero chance, i was super angry and just didn't want to wait.

Adrenaline release goes along with growth hormone release. I guess to boost recovery should you get injured from whatever caused the Adrenaline release.

Test is more a fixed hormone shouldn't go up or down. Much from your healthy baseline.

Tbh I feel this soo often. Surrounded everyday by people who’re sleepwalking, oblivious to our reality. Meaningless existences, hell half of them don’t even really seem to care about their kids or family.

Useless eaters.

Its the opposite. High stress leads to high cortisol which leads to low test

I agree with eggs adrenaline is a factor as well. From what I have read, adrenaline and cortisol are a pretty bad mix though. That is what leads to road rage, blackout anger, and extreme regret.

For what it is worth, I am not formally educated in any of this, just personal research along with many discussions with like minded people. So I have my biases and stuff. I very well could be completely wrong.
