Maybe, but the final decision is expected well in advance of the midterms anyway.

Imagine someone who was going to vote Republican because Democrats made their quality of life worse, changing their vote to Dem so their lives can get even worse but now irresponsible whores can still abort after 4 months.

I'd lose faith in this country

I really don't know what Republicans are going to do at this point. Much like liberals have the looming desire to get rid of the 2A the Republicans proverbial carrot on the stick was Roe v Wade.

Now that the neocon voters finally grabbed and ate the carrot, what other issue do republicans have to keep their base? Don't get me wrong, the boomers and evangelicals will eat this stuff up and be content, but once they're gone, I don't know how they're going to grow their base....or at least grow it at a rate to compete with the growth of liberal ideologies in this country.
This will mobilize the base on both sides. The left is going to raise huge money off this issue which will help, but it's way too early to say that his will drive the middle to vote one way or another.
There are way too many unknowns between now and the election.
A voter that is riled up about this right now may not care as much if the stock market crashes and they lose a big chunk of their 401K.
Covid may fire back up. A LOT of voters do not want to go back to masks and lockdowns. How the government reacts if that happens will drive people to vote differently.
Antifa and BLM are getting restless. It may be another long hot summer of looting and riots.
The war in Ukraine may take some unexpected turns.
Many women may have to decide whether a vote to "save" abortion is more important than a vote to save their children's education.
I actually agree with JayBarbie that this was going to come out before the elections anyways. Might as well get it out now.
The leaker may have done the Republicans a favor by getting it out early. Normal people won't stay in a constant state of rage like the far left will.
The next few months are going to be crazy IMO.

You just described millions of mostly white suburban mothers who by all polling were staring to move back to the GOP come midterms. I expect that to change.

Honestly, why do we care? Let's see where we stand as a nation. The left is still winning pretty handily either way, and the trajectory is more or less the same whether the GOP wins this midterm election or not.

Let's make this midterm election all about abortion and see were our neighbors really stand. It's going to happen someday anyway, whether the issue at hand is abortion or something else.

59% of all Americans are pro-choice.
In the latest survey, Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents are 45 percentage points more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to say abortion should be legal in all or most cases (80% vs. 35%)
35% of GOP-leaning independents are pro-choice, but only 20% of Dem-leaning independents are pro-life.

This is going to be an advantage for the Dems. No question about that at all. How much of an advantage remains to be seen, depending on what else is going on and what the other major issues are, but this is an issue that favors Dems and overnight it went from a secondary issue to a critical issue.

IMO big advantage in State wide elections, smaller in congressional elections, where the map is the map.

Most people are unaware that the SC is there to "interpret" the law. They do not make law, change laws, nor eliminate laws. That is left up to Congress according to the Constitution. Unfortunately, most people view RvW as law. It is not. The states have taken a stand over this issue and have recently passed anti-abortion laws. In response to that, IMO we are seeing the outrage now.

I do see this fiasco as a way to mandate a federal law against abortion. Right now, we are in "get the woke riled up" mode. Whether that turns into more voters for mid-terms in the libs favor or not remains to be seen. I believe that we will see a push for a "Pro-choice" law at the federal level eventually. That may be the carrot dangled before the libs as a way to get their vote.

With all that said, we have again put the Hunter laptop story on the back-burner.

Cliffs: People that identify as pro choice typically favor restrictions on abortion. Striking down roe v wade is an L for people that want 9th trimester abortions. Those people are a minority
3. Forget 15 weeks. More than 1/5 "pro-choice" voters do support the heartbeat bill; more than a third (33.4) support banning abortion after the "Pain" threshold is reached; and 54.6% support bans on late-term abortion in the final 3 months.

What do you honestly think most Americans would agree with

Abortions should be allowed up until 15 weeks

or

Abortions should be allowed all the way up until birth?

Democrats really act like this decision will put a demon baby inside every woman that they must carry to term and die delivering it, in reality you'll just get red states restricting the time you can get an abortion but not outright banning it. I know the thought of being more responsible and not letting it get to that point is scary for liberals though.

Obviously lib politicians and their npc shills like jay are going to spin this as hard as they can. But they're not going to score nearly enough points to stop whats coming

So is this actually going to happen and was leaked. If that is true I would hope that the person that leaked it gets their $hit pushed in. Sadly nothing will happen with that...

At the same time I find it weird that the SC would do something this big while they never make any rulings on the 2nd amendment.

I know Democrats operate on misrepresenting what's going on so they can create hysteria over it but majority of Americans don't love the way Democrats think children are just tools they can use and dispose of in every aspect. If they were allowed to know the reasonable take most of them would agree with SCOTUS here.

At some point people will realize how dramatic Democrats are screaming, rioting over everything just to for things to not end up as bad as they made it sound.
