South Carolina woman in critical condition after being mauled by 3 golden retrievers

Story:
A South Carolina woman who had both arms amputated after being savagely mauled by three golden retrievers also lost her vocal cords in the horrific attack and has undergone 13 surgeries so far, according to the mom of three’s sister.

“When she passed out, they were eating her alive,” Amy Wynne, 41, told the Daily Mail about her sister Kyleen Waltman, who was savagely attacked on a sidewalk in Honea Path northwest of Columbia on March 21.

“The dogs dragged her, they scalped her. Her skull was showing. They tore her left eyelid off. They tore her right cheek off, left a hole. They ate the skin off her inner thigh and ate the flesh off her arms and ripped them off,” she said.

Waltman has received 109 staples in the front of her head and at least 90 on the back to close her gaping wounds, her sister told the outlet.

She also was fitted with a permanent trachea tube in her throat because bacteria from the dogs’ mouths got into her eso****us, Wynne said, adding that Waltman has to speak using a voice-generator box after losing her vocal cords.

The gravely injured woman nearly died three times — in the ambulance, in the helicopter and on the operating table, Wynne told the outlet.

They are not banned in the U.S. Only parts of Canada has banned Pit Bulls. Apparently, in the U.S. it's a political thing. Most animal shelters are full of these monsters and they constantly mislabel them to trick naive morons to adopt them. Animal shelters use these monsters for leverage to keep money coming in to suppose these shelters. If pit bulls were banned 100% in the U.S. you'd see many shelters go under. The money would dry up.

They're also great for hog hunting. As with almost any working dog they should be used for that purpose or you should get a different dog breed unless you are an expert trainer.

Waltman recently received the devastating news that she won’t be able to get prosthetic limbs due to the severity of her wounds.

“We thought her right shoulder was going to be good and they were able to fit it with a prosthetic, well yesterday they found an infection in the bone and had to remove more of the bone,” Wynne wrote on a GoFundMe page.
Damn I can't imagine. She was so hysterical after waking up they had to put her back in a coma too. Although it is sad to see them at shelters (seemed like 8 out of every 10 when I went) I think there should be severe punishments handed out fir having them off-leash if there's not already. I was SO angry when my ex sister in law got a BLIND pit bull with my very young niece in her house.

Some stupid fuk lady the other day was walking a Pitbull and it got off the leash. She was just casually walking yelling its name as it ran down the street. Zero urgency to get it back on the leash.. just landshark wandering down the street looking for something to attack. Scumbag behavior

I genuinely don’t understand why all of these dogs haven’t been killed off completely and severe punishments have been handed out for having one. Makes me fkn sick. People in the uk still have them even though they’re illegal, they get away with saying there’s only X amount of pitbull in them but they’re mostly another breed. I think anything that’s over 25% pit should be exterminated. Srs.

This is unfortunately true that they were bred for a purpose that should have never existed. Some of them aren't bad, so as long as their owners are aware and have them trained, there should be no confiscation of dogs.
Breeding them should be illegal and if you have one it needs to be spayed/muttered.

No real purpose of these dogs. Maybe some are good and have good traits, fine, but there are other breeds that do better.
