Ukraine COULD potentially become a 1st world power house if they got rid of blatant corruption and focus on building their economy up. Imagine a military super power in Ukraine that is an extremely strong ally with the US. It would be a win win for basically everyone but Russia. I think that is the end goal.

Russian defense ministry is reporting Popasna (luhansk) has been captured, they've been fighting over it for almost a month

Its a big win for russia if true but its surrounded by ukrainian entrenchments so its hard to believe

The only place ukraine is pushing russia back is kharkov. Everywhere else russia is advancing despite all the fortified entrenchments.

Theres no way the ukie government would be sending the territorial militias to the front unless the regular military was significanly depleted and could not be reinforced

Most ofl the ukrainian rail systems destroyed so they cant get any of these weapon systems to the front

IMO russia is just letting ukraine wear itself out. The fortifications they built are huge. Much easier to let themselves wear out before using the huge tank fleet russia has sitting in the donbas
