They still are bruh, I'm still holding out for seeing them live. Unfortunately they don't come to UK often enough.

Toxicity was and is one of my favorite songs of all time.

I was listening to toxicity the other day. They were one band that helped me discover heavy metal so I'll give them that. They also write better music overall than Limp Bizkit, who were the other band that paved the way to metal for me. However, I discovered bands like Dream Theater and Opeth soon after SOAD and I never looked back. I don't dislike them, but don't really like them either since I evolved forward. They did have a unique sound, though. At least at first.

I recall my mom didn't like me watching the video to chop suey on TV cuz she thought they looked like a bunch of dope addicts lmfao.

If you really pay attention to the production, the joshua tree is a really fantastic record. It was produced by Daniel Lanois, this French Canadian musician who lived right near where I live in QC. He's great at coming up with amazing sounds. Apart from that, I've never particularly been into U2's music overall.

First two albums were good, they went downhill after that but still had some good songs.

The self-titled album with the hand on the cover is their best work.

First three albums were goat, some of my favorite music, wasn’t a huge fan of mesmerize/hypnotize tho

Saw Serj solo live, was decent.

Saw U2 in the mid 90s, was a great show. They played for over 3.5" hours and never let up. They were great back in the day.

Love them or hate them, it was a much more exciting time for music when bands like SOAD could get air time on the radio.
