Allegedly these sensors were using stars to calculate their position in space. I have a hard time believing their computers at the time had that ability.

The CPU for the rockets is one thing, The CPU for the guidance system is another thing.

They are not navigating on earth, where the system would only have to compute 360 ° degrees of heading.

To be honest I dont know the number of options in how many different degrees of heading there are in space.

I know it's a lot larger than just 360°

Anyone care to chim in and provide that number?

I almost want to say it's an infinite amount of degrees, but I'm probably wrong.

absolutely true how do you establish coordinates in space? Some tens of thousands of miles away from Earth in a small tech-deprived rocket.

so yeah...even more reason to not believe.

How did former president Nixon was able to talk with the astronauts in the moon by using a landline ☎️?

According to the AT&T Archives, "Simply, the call went from the Oval Office in Washington D.C. to Houston, where it was routed into space via Mission Control, through the capsule communicator, or CapCom, astronaut Bruce McCandless II."

And what do you think would happen to civilians in the US if they formed a militia and said they wanted to be independent from the Country?(hint they would be killed) Russia isn't helping the people in Donbass, if thats what they invaded for they could have easily focused on Donbass region and most likely succeeded in helping take control of it. Instead they invaded the entire Country and have failed miserably because their entire Military is corrupt and stole money instead of using it as intended. They then lied to Poots and said everything was good to go.

Did Russia annex Crimea to help Ukranians as well? Or did he take it for how much money it brings it and the usefulness of its port? You have no idea WTF you are talking about.

computer technology back then was actually a lot better than people baselessly claim, theres youtube vids of people explaining how the computer worked. It was actually more reliable than any modern day computer

Im pretty sure some of the footage and pictures were faked, but most likely mainly for security reasons, and also just to make it look better

Possible, but proving the video was staged is not the same as proving the moon landings didn't happen.

Also, it may be hard for the layman to understand but 'rocket science' is not all that complex compared to many other areas of physics. Calculating thrust, orbits and trajectories doesn't rely on very advanced mathematics.

The technology which is now lacking, if that's even true, I think are the rocket thrusters required for launch, although we can still get into orbit and land rovers on other planets so I don't understand why getting to the moon would supposedly be a problem. The real issue is having the will to actually do it again, space exploration was cut short because of politics and massive spending on social programs being seen as a higher priority. Those who look down in the dirt instead of up at the stars have taken hold of civilisation for the benefit of the lowest common denominator.

Presumably you'd just convert the 2D angle to 3D solid angle using the formula for the surface area of a sphere instead of the circumference of a circle.

Yes, looked it up and it's 4pi steradians which is equal to about 41000 'square degrees', again if you don't know what radians are and haven't studied physics this would be difficult to understand.

It's said they did it with less computing power than a modern phone so obviously it doesn't require a lot, just a basic calculator.

It's more a case of understanding the science than believing the science since all the evidence is already available for anyone who cares. Miscers can't comprehend the logistics which went into landing on the moon and so declare the moon landing as fake.

What incredible logic. So if we just locked a dozen scientists in a room with calculators and pencils for 10 years we can solve anything. Complete disregard for the fact that some things cannot be solved, yet.

Strong reading comprehension.

It's more about literal mongoloids thinking they are smart because they glanced at a youtube video despite thinking that gravity and magnets are mysterious dark magic. While also believing that they got it all figured out despite being nothing more than autistic contrarians.

Funny how the gov for once decides not to splurge endless money just to recreate a worthless stunt that was repeatedly pulled off half a century ago and the usual suspects' conclusion is that because they couldn't do it.

Some things can't, sure. FTL drives, interplanetary colonization, why miscers have so much trouble talking to women. All things that will plague the scientific community for years to come.

Manned trips to the moon? Yeah that can be and has been solved. Just because you have a small, smooth brain doesn't mean people much smarter than you can't comprehend the physics.

those sensors like a GPS for space use 3 axis rotation gyros that spin bigly. They have a lifespan due to gradually decrease their accuracy over time. Pretty amazing technology

'Rocket science' is not that difficult, it's not cold fusion or quantum computing. You'd know this if you'd ever done any physics in your life. Moon landing hoaxers aren't as bad as flat earthers but still make CTers look bad.

I'm highly suspicious that we landed on the moon, but this video doesn't prove sht.

If you have actual info proving it was a hoax, I'm all ears. I'd love to see it.

But this is just cutting back and forth, you can't see them transitioning from the behind the scenes vids to the actual recording of the footage.

The official footage looks pretty obviously fake to me, but this crap you posted seems like disinfo to discredit those who don't believe the moon landing narrative.

Yep, a matter of basic photography, but instead of looking into any of this, we have the usual from a moon hoaxer/flat earther/take your pick. Notice what Pterodatcyl does here:

-finds meme online (created by someone else)
-no research about what's going on
-believes it
-regurgitates it

It's the same old, same old. Zero critical thinking, and again.....whois the gullible one here? Seems its Pterodactyl. He has not responded to any of this.

It is a basic matter of exposure time of why the sky appears starless and black in the lunar daytime pic above. Mentioned in my previous post, but the stars would all but be lost with the incredibly shining sun. The astronauts on board Apollo 11 couldnt see almost any stars on the way to the moon, but finally were able to make out the whole sky of stars once they hit 'nightime', i.e. when the moon eclipsed the sun and they were in its shadow. They say it on the transcript:
02 23 59 20 CDR Houston, it's been a real change for us. Now we
are able to see stars again and recognize constellations for the first time on the trip. It's -
the sky is full of stars. Just like the nightside
of Earth. But all the way here, we have only been
able to see stars occasionally and perhaps through
the monocular, but not recognize any star patterns.

02 23 59 52 CC I guess it has turned into night up there really,
hasn't it ?

02 23 59 58 CDR Really has.

These men were well trained military pilots/scientists. The talking here sounds exactly what you might expect from such individuals- disciplined, informative, to the point and matter of fact.....and not ditzy or emotional. Hmm almost if that's the exact kind of personality you might want an astronaut to have entrusted with such a monumental mission, who need to remain objective and cool under pressure in the most crazy circumstances.

As Johnez pointed out, it's somewhat contradictory to call these people out for a seeming strange/unnatural press conference (it's not) but at the same time demand this means they must be actors. Why would an actor give a most uninspiring performance like this. It's almost as if they really are pilots and scientists.

This does not show we didnt go to the moon, nor does a sham rock that was never a moon rock have any implications for the moon landings either....the vast evidence in support of the moon landings, easily found online, establish we did to any rational, critically thinking person.

Like said in the Flat Earth threads, it really doesnt matter that some people want to incorrectly assert we didnt go to the moon....science will march on as usual, amazing discoveries will continue to be made in matters of space and astronomy just the same- regardless of what some CTers on a bodybuilding forum think about any of this.
Low IQ response. Why not somewhere in the middle? A smile every now and then, some passion in their voices recounting their epic adventure, some overwhelming emotion of what they saw (Earth from the moon etc), its a life changing experience yet these bums act like they got caught in a huge bank fraud scandal and are under cross examination lmao.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, Rocket Science, is hard.
