People don't want to get married. They don't want kids. Marriage is overrated and not a really good deal especially for a man. Having kids is expensive. There are advantages to not having kids. Not much marriage material out there now and women you would want to breed with aren't too common either.

I don't have kids, but I think people are just dumb and lazy. You can have sex, hobbies, and kids.

It’s just strong brainwashing. I know so many older women where that is their biggest single regret. Some will play it off like they’re happy, go on multiple cruises a year and brag about their freedom. But you can tell they’re dead inside. Specially when they sleep alone at night.

I’d say 1% are probably truly happy about being a cat woman. Which is contradictory as the cat/dog is basically just a way to fill that gap they’re lying to themselves about.

In my relationship I'm the one more anti-kids, so not a problem for me if she is against having children. Most my coworkers and friends who have children seem to lose their sense of self, their hobbies die and their life revolves around their children. It's not what I want at this point.

This is not true everywhere. If you can stand the winters I recommend the Plymouth-Canton area in SE MI. I picked it out myself when we moved up there. Good neighbors, lots of people doing stuff outside, kids walking to and from school, great library in Canton...
