Why would anyone ever wanna be a professional bodybuilder?

brb sit around injecting copious amounts of drugs all day feeling like a junkie
brb force feeding to the point eating is no longer enjoyable
brb popping all the stims towards comp time - feeling like a stimmed out junkie again
brb sleep apnea and general feeling of un-wellness
brb no life outside of lifting, eating and injecting drugs

seems so unfulfilling - must be mental illness that drives it

Do you have any idea what discipline, dedication, and integrity means? About pushing yourself past limits you never even thought imaginable? I don't envy the work it must take for these guys to achieve what they do, gear or not. What I do envy, however, is what it must feel like seeing yourself push you body and mind past barrier after barrier and come out a better man.

You know nothing about sports.

The 90% is the easier part. 0.1% is the difference between the first and the last.

Drugs could give you 99%... if you don't workout to get the other one, you aren't winning anything.

This being said... their motivations is the same motivations other athletes have. Why would you want to be a tennis player? a nascar racer? a swimmer?

They must enjoy putting their gas shrunken genitals into little posing pouches, getting other gay men to rub oil all over them & cover themselves in boot polish to parade in front of other gay men who grade them.

Shooting all kinds of drugs into your body and gorging on food to become a massive behemoth = "come out a better man"?

I think I have to disagree with that.

Lifestyle of working out, playing sports, maintaining a healthy lowish bf% and leaning out a little more during the summer to look good at the beach = healthy, fun, and cool

True Professional Bodybuilder: Huge amounts of gear needed, insane periods of starving / dehydrating for shows, loss of social fun (eating and or drinking with friends), loss of libido from low low bf%, long term health hits to heart and liver, while most hardly make any significant money = not worth it and not respected by most people.

Yeah, bodybuilding is bit of crap competition nowadays. You spend thousands of money to end up being broke and dead by 40. Even sloots are not impressed by your bloatmaxx phisique.

I respect it but im over untested bodybuilding now. Maybe if so many are dying the limits have actually been reached.

With natural bodybuilding theres more people starting to look like frank zane with the results from smarter trainer and natural bodybuilding you can do for life

Because building fame, fortune and traveling the world by hanging out with your bro's, lifting weights, etc. is significantly more appealing then wage-slaving till your 75 years old?

If you're smart you do like Jay. You build a social media following/fanbase. You sell products. You get endorsements. You make investments. Then you retire and run your business.

Frank Zane's nickname was The Chemist. Nobody who looks like they lift is natural brah. Social media/instagram/youtube has changed things for the worse too.

Gym I go to has a bunch of HS/college kids. A large portion of them are enhanced. If you're a natural lifter you can be fanatical about diet/nutrition/lifting for 10+ years and within 2-3 years these kids will be mogging you in physique/strength/athleticism. Also have a ton of these insta/tiktok thot types that do workouts to build their booty/leg and trim their waste-lines down for an hourglass physique. Some of these girls are hitting the var too. Unless you're born with a great bone structure/metabolism being natural isn't exactly going to work anymore.

My group of peers/friends I'd say about 20-30 guys are enhanced. Imagine hanging out with/partying with about 20-30 dudes that have been training enhanced for 10-15 years and being a nattycel. Imagine hitting a pool party, boats, or a beach with a bunch of enhanced brahs and you are the only natty there. Imagine working out with a hand full of friends and you're the only dude that uses less then 2 plates on a bench-press/incline bench-press...

Its easy to see why people make the choice to go 'enhanced'. Even if they don't compete/aren't aspiring BBers.
