It really just depends on how intelligent/business minded they are. In the modern age its possible to leverage a very good life-style/income without ever being a Mr O contender.

Guys like Fouid Abiad, Seth Feroce, Even Centapani, Guy Cisternino, etc. all build successful incomes/businesses and none of them are even top 10 competitors in bbing/for Mr O.

Then you've guy the social media guys like Christian Guzman, Steve Cook, Brad Castleberry, Bradley Martyn, etc. that are basically not even competitive lifters but are vlogging and social media icons making millions of dollars.

Jay Culter just laid out the blueprint for leveraging wealth/lifestyle from lifting. Now everyone else is following in his path.

Greg Doucette charges some absurd amount to "train" people, so if he can get away with charging that much then imagine what higher level guys could make.

Greg has a nice house, high end Mercedes, Lambo Urus, Ferrari, etc. Perfect example of a unknown competitor who turned lifting and social media into a multi million dollar empire for himself.

Also a perfect example of someone who'd be an absolute nobody if he'd have stayed natural.

truth
no one wants to hear this though or accept it because it means admitting other men are much more superior to them physically, and they are more clueless than they realize, men like to think they would be the same way if only they did *insert bullchit fake generic excuse*

surely its not that those bodybuilders have been lifting for 15 years and learned a lot of knowledge/skills along the way
surely its not that they have chosen to do what is needed instead of what is fun or easy more than others

Those guys are admirable. The roided out bodybuilders are also admirable, but understand that its not healthy and takes some serious sacrifice, the general public thinks they are crazy, gross, smol pp, compensating for something etc most of thats bs. They do it for many reasons and its no ones place to judge. I’ll always be mirin

i agree

the enjoyment if you are a bodybuilder should be in the day to day not in the victories.

You should go to a competition to collect not compete.

Also whats wrong with attention? do you like being lonely and never getting attention?

nothing pisses me off though more than "competitors" who need a competition in order to be motivated to be a bodybuilder. THOSE people do it for attention.

Kind of like dudes who are anti relationship and base their manliness squarely on the amount of hole they get, instead of bettering themselves in all areas and occasionally working on fulfilling relationships?

no it would be more like the guys who want a relationship and go with the first girl that agrees rather than taking their time and enjoying dating and having sex with women and just taking things as they come rather than only focusing on the outcome.

Ok better opinion. I’ve always been a relationship guy so can’t relate to some of it, but have had multiple relationships and lots of sexors so kind of get it.

Bodybuilding in general is healthy and can be a great hobby. But taking large amount of steroids knowing you're going to die in your 40's? Mental illness.

Yeah...I could understand a person wanting a 70's (maybe evens 80's) Olympia level physique, but we have today is retarded and mental illness. Also, it seems like some people itt have a difficult time fathoming that OP isn't hating on Bodybuilding in general, but in taking it to ridiculous extremes.

Bodybuilding could mean a ton of different things.

No idea why people are saying "you're on a bodybuilding forum."

Body building = building your body through strength training. It doesn't necessarily mean injecting yourself with steroids and getting to 300lbs shredded.
