Well wtf there is like no options left anymore unless you have a social circle and you have status.

Cold approaching is barely better than online dating. I get numbers from far better looking women but the rejection and flake rates are just as high. Not to mention it is far more time consuming to go out and look for opportunities to approach.

And this DustinHuss woman is a leading example of why men should never be chivalrous unless the girl is really special. Doesn't mean you have to be mean, just be direct and honest about what you want and go after it. Yes. Attractive women who do try online dating meet a quality guy and get snatched up within a few weeks. I've been downloading and deleting the same apps for years and I see some of the same girls on there year after year. Meanwhile new girls I've never seen before are on for a very short time and I never see them again.

Why not just age gracefully? You could build a new life with an older guy, and your daughter would have stability.

Older women perpetually pining for youth is kinda depressing, because you're fighting a losing battle against time. And it's so popular in coastal CA; this weird Kardashian type lifestyle.

I'm going to hit a point soon where I won't be able to attract younger men. Women age a lot in their 50s and Botox can only do so much.

Well the plan is to divorce and move out and probably have to go over the hill to get a decent condo once my daughter is off to college in a year as what would I do in the house alone with the husband? He and I would just be alone and annoyed with each other. We kept this going for years to keep her in one household and because I'm frankly scared to be on my own in terms of supporting myself in the event that I lose my job and have to go on disability since the government is forcing me off of ****** and I use it legally for anxiety in a high stress job.

No from my 40s. I don't like pics of me now even though I've lost weight.

I guess it's more that I'm hitting the age cap for my salary as I'll get pushed out of hi tech soon. Plus I'm scared of going off of ****** and the nasty withdrawals that could render me unable to work. I know I'll get a lot of money from the house but then where to live in this expensive area? My plan is to move someplace cheaper but close enough to help my family on the weekends and get a less stressful job so I can survive without ******.

It's no guarantee that I'd find a partner even if I did get divorced. Over 50 dating is tough if you're divorced.

It does get lonely to travel and spend weekends alone though. It would be nice to share that with someone, hence why I've been seeing men over 40 lately. I guess I've been hoping to meet someone and move into his place, but so far I haven't found enough chemistry to get past the first date. Those are from dating apps, though, Lucy's comment about volunteer work and church is a good idea.
