I would definitely agree with this. If you're in a loving, supportive relationship, it's great. It adds so much to your existence to have a partner by your side through it all. If that relationship is marred with distrust, lack of communication, suspicion, and general dysfunction, I can't imagine how distressing that must be. Literally living your life perpetually walking on eggshells and bracing yourself for negative situations.

We spend a lot of time together and we spend time away from each other too. We even have time with friends and family together and solo.

When you marry someone that is a perfect match things flow smoothly. The things that seem to ruin it and make things miserable are when men let go of the overall leadership and women that think it is acceptable for them to dominate. I am lucky that she was raised in a way that the idea of her being "independent, sassy, a fighter, a bad bitch, etc.," Is completely foreign and repulsive and similarly I was raised in a way that for a husband to not be in charge and make all decisions or delegate them is bizarre and unacceptable.

When you are in sync everything flows smooth. That is why traditional roles and the basic structure of marriage and family are so important.

Being alone and bitter is sad . Today males are coping in one direction and females are coping in another direction. Both are not good. The mentality that op posted is indicative of this.

Spending time together is fun for me. I really enjoy it and I believe it is the same for her.

From what I have been taught by my father and my experiences thus far in a relatively short life--the foundation is how you are raised and especially what kind of father you have. A good father means a good mother almost always because good men don't marry or have children with bad females--generally. A male raised like that will expect the same and a female raised like that will expect the same.

So those men that have wives like you mentioned expect that and the women expect that of themselves. Both have been raised like that and both see the difference between their relationship and the others in contemporary western society.
