Never worked it but I can only imagine Fast food service. Cooking nasty food all day, getting it soaked into your pores, smelling it all of the time. I worked at Pizza hut once, wasn't all that bad but most fast food is aweful. It's not just that, but people think you are a loser and will treat you like crap, and reality is most people in it are trash. Not just that working with low lifes. Working with bottom of the barell co-workers. Managers that are losers with a powertrip.

I did work as a cashier/clerk at a gas station and ended up working nights. Pretty much fast food but not dealing with actual fast food. Never again.

Express quick lube places like Jiffy Lube. Basically fast food for cars. I think it's not that bad but when I came there I already had experience but needed a job, and it was cringefest all day working with those clowns. They all claimed to be master mechanics, but were just "doing this right now". What a joke.

Truck driver. I was one for a couple years. If you are smart and unattached, it's a GOAT field to do for a while. Live in the truck, almost no bills except your cell phone, don't be stupid with your money and just work all you can and you'll get some money, but as you pass by the world the world passes by you. On my off days I got home I'd go see my friends, and noticed their lives were evolving while mine was stuck on groundhog's day.

Finally: What I am now: Mechanic. For me it's a bit of a curse, because I left several times and was just driven back. However, I'll say I wish it wasn't in my blood. I'm good now. But the road here really sucked. I'm really not a mechanic anymore though. I've been a foreman for a year. A lot more admin work. My goal is to get away from turning wrenches before it messes my body up.

like some sales dude making calls thinking he's more important than the electricity required to run the roomthis chit sounds bad to me. so me, another guy and a foreman are in a room. the foreman asks me and the other guy to do work. the foreman's work now relies on the other 2 he asked to do the work..... that sounds fuken horrible. and if one of them fuks up, you're responsible for it.

politics, organizational chit chat, telephone calls.. basically fluffy stuff not doing any of the work BUT you're still responsible for it. your "work" is indirect but directly affected by others not in your control
