Since my thesis was focused on cognition and its evolution, and with frequent forays into ethology (the study of animal cognition/behaviour) I made some very interesting discoveries about cool animals and the nature of their minds/consciousness.


Especially interesting was the convergent evolution of intelligence/the mind, how creatures phylogenetically distant from us experience and cognize the world in ways that for all intents and purposes, are legitimately alien.


The West is so sold on this idea that the brain is the rationale for the existence of cognition. It's really the other way around. Cognition is the rationale for the existence of the brain. BRB once I consult my work for some examples.

All animals fascinate me tbh.


I would have to say that I am most interested in things like Whales, Orcas, Dolphins, Octopus, Primates, since they have a high level of intelligence I just wonder what the fuk it is that they think about when they see humans or how they communicate with each other, like do they just hang around sometimes and talk chit about a group member, or wonder which sloot they wanna bone or if they see a human and wanna attack us or are curious with us ... Or are they just pre-wired for mostly surviving and foraging and live like tribal people where the main issue is just filling their belly and surviving.

Do they like go to on holidays? maybe eat something different like how we go on nights out to different restaurants.

Eagles fascinate me



Their grace, their amazing evolution as fast, accurate hunters, their super sharp eyes, the Eyries they (as well as other birds of prey) build, the fact that they have been used in so many flags and on so many banners over the years. The freedom they enjoy and symbolize.

Beat me to it.

It is believed that squids are slightly less intelligent than octopuses and cuttlefish; however, various species of squid are much more social and display greater social communications, etc., leading to some researchers concluding that squids are on par with dogs in terms of intelligence.
I don't want to cuddle one, but they are so strange.

ETA: Cephalopods in general...recall reading squid are meaner/less smart mostly.

Birds in general.. I've always loved them and owned them. I'm currently raising a turkey and he's awesome. I call him turkey boy. I also have a pet duck that lives inside and wears diapers.

It might come across as facetious but human beings. I consider myself an observer of human behaviour. I find it fascinating how humans can be led to believe ridiculous things and engage in certain behaviours based on those beliefs, how humans separate each other by means of arbitrary, psychological borders and imaginary lines in the sand such as religion, politics, countries, etc, how our brains have not evolved in 10,000 years and we still abide by the same defunct instincts that are no longer necessary for our survival....list goes on.

If we're talking other animals, it's hard to say. I live in the mountains so I regularly spend time outdoors observing nature. There are a number of animals on my property. Dolphins are inherently interesting due to their large brain size and intelligence that we can't seem to comprehend.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

Great white shark. The sheer dominance and power is intriguing. They are the equivalent to humans in the ocean (not from an intellect standpoint but overall dominance standpoint). Generally speaking nothing can f*ck with them.
