If you could buy Misc and make some changes, what would they be?

I would remove all censoring of words. You would be able to use every word except N-word.

Rep system would actually have incentives in the form of discounts on purchases and allow you to more exclusive sub-forums with high quality or funny posters. This would ensure that quality posts are valued and get more visibility than low tier posts by red trolls and sad incels.

Would expand image hosting capability so we dont have to rely on imgur.


There would be members only marketplace also to trade used gym equipment or playstation or cars..any lifestyle legal products. The forum would actually be funded by this marketplace with very small commission on trades so we dont have to rely on advertisers or any external stakeholders.


Visually I would keep the essence of misc pretty much same. I wouldnt wanna make it look like reddit or some messaging app with gaymojis

If at all possible, I would scan all archives and back-ups for old deleted threads and merge them back in.
Possibly ditch this entire hack job of a forum and move everything to vBulletin
Lots of opportunities here for someone with the resources to make changes.

Lol @ op. Why censor one word but have all other words uncensored? I imagine Indians and Asians being just as offended when misc calls them slurs as the rest of us are @ the N-word.

As to actual good changes... As mentioned the search function is actually horrific, bodyspace needs to just go or be much more streamlined, there needs to be an indicator when reds make a thread so we can avoid it, maybe just have 3 or 4 active mods who actually post and participate instead of 30 who are inactive, negs should be full power and everyone should have their reps reduced by 1/10th their current value due to rep inflation.

Also allow me quick access in my cp to find someone's recent posts so I can rep or neg them back.

Also, have a hidden OG forum for 2009 and previous join dates, sort of like Platinum misc, but where we don't have to pay and can hang out and posts nudes and stuff. Sorta like a Platinum lite. OGs deserve it.

Un-ban all words but the N-word? Yeah, we should absolutely be able to say all the naughty things, except for that one single naughty thing. That naughty thing is too naughty for adults. I for one feel that as adults, we need moderation by other random adults, so THANK YOU OP. Plus, I don't think anyone should be offended by anything, so un-banning all words would be too much. In fact, when someone says the abbreviated "N-word", we know exactly what they mean even when they're not saying the actual naughty word, so that should be banned too.

I'd institute popups or send limited time offers to your inbox as a way to reward active users.

Use the rep system like a points program for store credit. Reach a certain amount of reps and $1 is added to your account. Your reps reset, and you have to work toward the next $1. Negs are eliminated because you want people to be able to earn credit so they spend. And all "reps" count the same and are not weighted by the popularity of the person repping you, but they may be weighted depending on which forum you're posting in.

Have an AI program that recognizes repeated patterns in user's posts, so if they constantly say the same thing over and over, it is recognized and the user given a warning to stop it.

Females miscers HAVE to post a revealing (not nude) pic of themselves with their username, date and a misc code written clearly on a sheet of paper and also adopt a specific pose suggested by the misc.
