srs question.
the space race was the ULTIMATE flex. It was basically putting the crown on the smartest, bravest, and best looking nation. Imagine taking that away... Imagine getting busted as a fraud... That nation would not only be the laughing stock of the entire fukking world, but the amount of distrust/fallout, would absolutely destroy that nation.

everything was very special and very good.

it was so good that we destroyed it all and forgot how to recreate it. and you’ve yet to provide irrefutable information besides trust the big govt cawk.

meanwhile the private sector is building reusable rockets to get to the ISS in 2022. something tells me government employees were not capable of getting to the moon 53 years ago and chitty fake film footage is not proof of anything.

This is what someone that doesn't understand what specialization looks like. You realize that there were MANY computers, right?

The curious part imo is that they 1) lost all of that technology, all of those computers and 2) they haven't been able to recreate it or go back.

Now I know the counterargument for the second one is that it's too expensive and space exploration isn't worth it. Personally I think it could be worth it and it's at least very interesting. I haven't looked deep into this moon landing conspiracy so I'm not convinced either way, but I think there's definitely interesting questions like these to ask.

No one has posted "evidence" that the computers were powerful, because they were not.

There wasn't some secret computer system being used and you are right that NASA said they lost the technology.

As I have said many times, the FBI kept thousand page files on Elvis but they weren't monitoring all of the plans for the NASA moon rocket?

That's absurd.

The FBI would have been all over everyone involved with the moon landing.

Why in the absolute **** would they recreate old, outdated stuff when we can make new, safer things? How has that not crossed your mind?

I agree that space exploration is worth it. We use many things today that were created to help us get to the moon. It would also create tons of new STEM professionals that are fascinated with all of it, which would bring about more technological innovations, snowballing the speed and progress.

Why go back to the moon? To prove to a bunch of idiots that have no understanding of science that we've done it before? We can control machines to do the exploring for us on Mars. While I would LOVE to see us step on Mars, at the moment it's safer to have machines do it.

Then you have the idiot Fraudlerian talking about evidence, when he thinks the entire moon is 400 degrees at all times, talking about what we can and cannot do.

There hasn't been a heavy lift vehicle since the Saturn V that would be powerful enough for the task.

In layman's terms - bigger rockets need bigger support infrastructure, and there was no need to have big rockets like that.

It's not about not being able to recreate it. Could a Saturn V be built again? For sure. But to actually use it, it's not only the rocket you have to build. You also have to assemble it somewhere, launch it somewhere, etc. And it would have no purpose other than to prove that it could be done again.

TL;DR : People think they can ride their iPhones to the moon.
No, the idea is that we did lose the technology.

The explanation is that the rocket was made "special order" by hundreds of contractors and they did not keep organized records of how it was actually constructed.

For the record, Dunningkrugerian has been sticking to his lies that the plans do not exist for 10 days, 850 posts and counting.

And that's probably his least insane claim.

The CIA probably has plans to fight Belgium if they have to.

Anyway, have all the technicians at NASA involved in a simulation would be easy.

I also noted that NASA has NO PLANS for how the rocket was made. I mean where has a government agency not kept files? In addition, it was the most important and attention getting project in US history, so they not having plans is really weird.

As I've said, the FBI had huge files on actors and singers, but they were guarding the f@cking moon rocket plans...come on.

NASA saying they have the full plans on microfilm and whatnot on the other hand has been posted several times.

This is) a claim John Lewis made in his 1996 book, Mining the Sky, that he went looking for the Saturn 5 blueprints a few years ago and concluded, incredibly, they had been "lost."

Paul Shawcross, from NASA's Office of Inspector General, came to the agency's defense in comments published on CCNet -- a scholarly electronic newsletter covering the threat of asteroids and comets. Shawcross said the Saturn 5 blueprints are held at the Marshall Space Flight Center on microfilm.

"The Federal Archives in East Point, Georgia, also has 2,900 cubic feet of Saturn documents," he said. "Rocketdyne has in its archives dozens of volumes from its Knowledge Retention Program. This effort was initiated in the late '60s to document every facet of F 1 and J 2 engine production to assist in any future restart."

Shawcross cautioned that rebuilding a Saturn 5 would require more than good blueprints.

"The problem in recreating the Saturn 5 is not finding the drawings, it is finding vendors who can supply mid-1960's vintage hardware," he wrote, "and the fact that the launch pads and vehicle assembly buildings have been converted to space shuttle use, so you have no place to launch from.

"The real problem is the hundreds of thousands of other parts, some as apparently insignificant as a bolt or a washer, that are simply not manufactured any more. Everything would have to be redone. So a simple rebuild would be impossible. The only real answer would be to start from scratch and build anew using modern parts and processes. Yet another immense challenge!"

Again, this is you.

I do not care about this topic that much. If the moon landing was fake or real, I don't actually care, but I think it's interesting.

I do not read your posts extensively but you're clearly an idiot that takes a minute to google something. When I research a topic I do so thoroughly to weigh all the factors.

It is a fact that NASA had "lost the plans" has been in the news. Their explanation is that they aren't lost but rather there are countless plans from different contractors.

That makes no sense given how comprehensive the FBI was with monitoring important people in the 60s.

You are the one who can't accept logic and doesn't do research.

I haven't looked deep into this moon landing conspiracy so I'm not convinced either way, but I think there's definitely interesting questions like these to ask.
They have not lost the technology to build those computers.

They have lost the machining and launch platforms to build the equipment we used in 1969.

The launch platforms were modified for other vehicles including the space shuttle.

God you people are the stupidest on the planet.

Both of you are a little off. They technically don't have an as built.

Moron, you can use the internet.

If you were interested in the topic you would already know what I'm saying is accurate.

Yes, they said they don't have an exact set of plans because of countless contractors making individual parts for the overall machine.

That does not make sense based on what we NOW know about the FBI.

There would have been top security on the moon rocket because of the potential for sabotage.

If you know anything about the FBI, they had all kinds of monitoring, keyhole cameras, illegal wiretapping, and they kept giant records about mundane people like movie stars because they were afraid of them being perverts or communist agents trying to undermine the US.

So, the story that no one has exact records on the moon rocket has to be fake.

It's either fake or they have records they do not want to share for some reason.

Well it actually does.

See certain aspects of the project would change as they went along and so they had to change a few things on the fly as there was an overall deadline (beating the USSR)

That's no different than say you building a house

Has anyone provided proof we landed on the moon? Other than the official copy and paste documents.
