While its probably concernign for Russia that Finland joins, the border the share is really rough land.

It's pocketed with lakes, forests and hills. It would be difficult for either side to invaded one another. Versus Ukraine which is typically all flat land relatively speaking.

They seem to got bored. They want some action.

Sweden is sitting on the sideline of all wars since Napoleonic wars when they lost their last war to Russia, and Finland is on sideline since WWII when Stalin forgave them blocatde of Leningrad and alliance with Hitler if they promise neutrality. So now they want to be on the battlefield again. But good old times of Carolus Rex are not going to return, in case of war, both countries will be torched with Russian nuclear weapons. Not a kind of action they want.

They will regret they gave up their cozy neutrality for a chance to on a front line. But they will not be regretting for too long. Russian hypersonic rockets fly fast, and you can't regret when you are dead.

NATO reaches a deal with Turkey toadmit Sweden and Finland

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that the world’s most powerful military alliance reached a deal to admit Sweden and Finland after resolving the concerns of holdout Turkey.

The push to add Sweden and Finland to the world’s most powerful military alliance comes as Russia’s assault on Ukraine amplifies fears of other countries in the region.

Previously, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would not approve the NATO applications of both Sweden and Finland.
