I've shot a few, but don't own one yet. They are a cool piece of history. The club membership requirement has always been what's stopped me from ordering from the CMP in the past. I'd really like a 1911 from them, too, and my grandpa carried an M1 Carbine in WW2 so that's on the list as well.

It was just a $35 dollar one-time fee for a 1-year membership to the CRPA.

This is actually an organization in CA that does a lot of good work for gun owners, so I was glad to support them. They actually file lawsuits and go to court when dumb gun laws try to get passed. Obviously they don't always succeed considering the laws here but still lol

I was a first time plandemic gun buyer two years ago and ended up with a .30-06 hunting rifle, among other guns. Didn't end up with a semi-auto rifle...if I were to have my choice I'd pick an M1 Garand in .30-06 for efficiency purposes.
