Family friend was over telling us about some other family friend (who I don’t know) who got raaped. Story is as follows. Would misc believe this story?

- Victim is married with kids, 41 yrs old
- she goes on a “girls trip”, 3 day cruise (being a miscer with 2013 join date, I’m skeptical as soon as I hear this)
- her and friends dancing at night and having virgin drinks
- bartender takes an interest and brings them some virgin drinks on the house
- victim starts feeling weird and goes back to room with a friend
- bartender has ability to look up each person on the cruise’s phone number
- bartender looks up her number and sends her a text that she left something at bar and he will bring it to her
- she is feeling pretty sick back at room, friend there with her
- bartender comes to room and somehow convinces her to leave room alone with him
- next morning she is having trouble walking and “just doesn’t feel right”
- she remembers literally nothing from prior night after she leaves room with bartender
- goes to doctor and they find GHB and fetanyl (strong wtf) in her blood
- gets examined and there is physical evidence of raape
- she now in counseling for raape
- unclear whether any charges have been pressed again bartender or cruise line

What does misc say? Am I just hopelessly cynical that I didn’t believe this chit? There are at least 10 gaping holes in this story.

Honestly feel sorry for her husband who is probably having to show sympathy to her and be extra nice and supportive through her trauma, when in reality the much easier explanation is she cheated and regrets (maybe he found flirty text messages with bartender and she had to make something up).

I am male and have been drugged at a bar. Was in Costa Rica with one of my nephews and going to go swim in the ocean and meet up and stopped at a bar for a couple beers. Talked with some people there, I am not sure what really happened after. But remember actual friends showing up that I wasn't expecting (USCG retired, my friends still in, deploy to Costa Rica and go where I was regularly).

- she checking her phone for texts when sick
- her friend letting her leave room alone
- her friend asking no questions when she doesn’t come back, or comes back way later

Best case scenario: she was inappropriate and flirty with the bartender, gave him her number, and hanging out with him on a “date” and then he dropped ghb in her cup and rapped her.

More likely scenario: she just cheated and husband saw her text messages with bartender, so she uses the raep card
