Ultimate DVD Piracy intro thingy, man things aren't built like pre 2006 anymore :(((

Coolest thing ever. Watched a movie called Jumper on DVD and the intro had this PSA, I swear down this is the coolest thing ever. It was on every movie before.

Who on earth designed this?? It's just so hardcore. It sounds like Pantera? I say pantera because it sounds similar to a riff played in Spongebob. (That hibernation extreme sports episode). Man, even in Spongebob stuff was hardcore.

Why did this era fade into oblivion, there was seriously nothing wrong with it. Subtle things like this made men more manly. Now there's just gym which is a joke filled with fairies and poser media type crap.

Hardcore, loud, in your face.

Now it's,

Quiet, feminine, mental health awareness.

What on earth, why is this happening.

what era faded? you mean DVDs? or that type of message to try and frighten people from pirating?

even pirating has gotten stale though. i had over 4k movies back in the day, down to 2.5k or so after deleting a bunch (and 100s of full TV Series) but since all the modern stuff is woke crap nothing is even worth the bandwidth (just kidding FBI if you are reading this, srs, not srs).

Read #2.

DVDs got replaced, understandable I guess. But the loud/obnoxious intros like this on every corner back then just doesn't happen now. Watching that got me pumped up. Watching the fairy crap now makes me want to bash everyone's heads in. (Not a pump, just infuriated that someone would manufacture such trash)

Yeah, thepiratebay has vanished. There's no real spice in it anyways. Head to a library with minimum of 700mbps download speeds and yeah, that's all. No seeding or anything. Just find a site.

Many who were once against piracy are now pro piracy due to how digital media is a scam

There was another one similar to this. At the beggining of a movie, there'd be the roofs of shelters (?) and it would be all wavy as if was being viewed over the horizon. Again, so cool.

The first site I found on the internet was a mp3 download site.

I think this message was significant for Dvds, would probably ruin businesses. Now? Doesn't really matter, paid subscriptions are filled with ads anyways.

damn i remember when DVDs had unskippable adds. probably like the video above

it was shock value to get people to think they shouldn't be doing it. but then people justified it with - well someone isn't actually losing anything. i am simply copying something that i would never have bought anyway

and yeah about the Ads in everything these days, no thanks chief

For a few years after 9/11 there was a porn film company-think it was Diabolic/Anabolic who put up a picture of a US flag with 9/11 We Will Never Forget message for about 20 seconds before every film-which then immediately segued into women having 8-10 inch cocks rammed down their throats, while they were bringing up saliva over their own faces etc, was hilarious.

But those ads were worth watching. Catered to us. Running around to get popcorn time.

Now I don't even know what I'm looking at with modern ads, just pathetic fairy music with fairy people, oh and it lasts minutes instead of 30 seconds.

Eh, that person may have been inclined to buy it had copying/pirating not been a thing. When I was younger, for some lousier movies we'd just wait until it went from the cinema to dvd. Dvd cost like 90p to rent as opposed to £40+ family tickets. Later on we just watched for free on laptops on 123movies/putlockers.

I still distinctly remember going to a swamp shop with the dad as a kid and there was this one guy selling a bunch of dvds. "ACTION MOVIES HERE, PORNOS IN BACK!" is what he said.

This brings me back. I also remember on cassette tapes there was a blue screen filled with words and like an FBI badge in the middle of the screen. That video the op posted always reminded me go grand theft auto when the guy was stealing the car. It used to make me think of the London gta

Yeah, it all just looked natural. Just new on the scene fun.

Haha I always wondered if they would release a gta in London. I wonder when gta 6 will release, will probably suck. I'd imagine there'd be mental health missions, support protests for $1000000 game money, haircut selection will only be short back and sides showing ankles, chubster male strippers etc.

Didn't even play gta 5, just 4 and San andreas.

I'm waiting on gta 7, in a new era.

But why is that? I mean, this version is like 14 years ago lol. Different era.

My barber still sells bootleg DVDs. There’s a bin in the shop you can pick from, but I don’t think anyone actually buys from him. Can’t knock the hustle though.

UPDATE:

So in regards to this song, can anyone figure it out? It sounded like pantera, it is not! Apparantly it's the prodigy.

Or atleast a version of the prodigy, something about some other dutch band remix?? It's unknown? Weird how this works, dates back as far as 2004.
