Anyone noticed guys/girls don't know how to talk, like at all?

I noticed this when I was on the train. I'm purely natural at talking, never stammer, perfect English, know what to say before the other person even knows his own name. I asked this guy where he was headed, man was he stammering so much, every 3 seconds he was looking down and around. Can't even say he didn't want to talk, he was trying his best for like 3 minutes.

Same guy 5 minutes later, starts talking about politics, TV shows and asking if I like technology. The technology part would've been alright, but man, you can tell that all people know is media, social media and Internet.

When they're out of their zone, they just have a choice of a few robotic dialogues to follow.

I was astounded, males are meant to be cocky, loud and talking stories about how they hit on women or their highlights in life. Or atleast be confident and let a conversation flow.

Girls? They just sit, engrossed in their phones. I swear, what is so groundbreaking about a damn phone.

Anyone experience this first hand?

Yeah lots of awkward mannerisms and social skills these days also men lack that toughness that was the norm in the 90's and 2000's now dudes all talk with that beta weak undertone

I swear late 2014 or mid 2015 is when things went downhill

Yeah the mannerisms is what's insane to me. It's like they're wedged in a bottle, so awkward. I just don't understand how that can be a life, I swear they probably looked up conversation starters. It seems to me that all these guys were bullied in school or something I swear.

I mean really? Politics and TV? I swear I was being filmed for punkd or something. This guy was unreal.

It's not even a size/build thing. I'm sure a nonlifter can handle themselves well, but in this era they just can't. Heck even lifters are kittens who have no idea what they're doing.

Yeah it's stiff mannerisms

I've noticed some older guys try to jestermaxx too but it's so corny because they aren't actually funny at all. I'm talking like zero personality but they think they are a comedian. Again awkward mannerisms. Women also aren't as bubbly as they used to be. Attractive girls used to have great personalities and talk to everyone. I rarely see it anymore.

The whole vibe is just off. I can't even explain it man.

Honestly, these people are just nothing. Lost souls just doing nothing.

It's sad to think that hobbies don't even have the same spice they did before. Stuff has already happened, now it's just done again, but poorly. Saturated and lame.

I would love to follow F1, mma, bodybuilding, xgames, tech world etc. It's just a load of crap with the next line of people.

I dunno what that is, google says it's a joker. Yeah, I've seen that. Went to a bar to get mango juice, guys were moving so awkwardly together. It's like they know they're meant to have a night out, so they do just that with their mental image of guys having a night out online. Say a few bad words, act drunk, tell jokes that are so careful not to upset anyone etc.

Yeah, when guys had pickup lines and had to learn. Now guys just don't even reach the first step of engagement and head home to buy some xrated subscription.

Girls now just don't know anything, they're stale because all they know is phones.

Pictures online show for it, girls in varsity jackets, random outfits and whatever. Talking all outlandish and just knew how to act.

Lol, you either see it or you don't.

Even friends from school have morphed like this. Can't be technology, I used to play Xbox all day and I'm into normal stuff/can handle a conversation.

People even do weird things. Saw this guy just scratching his scalp, a lot. Spreading his hair and being just weird. Also coughing like a chainsmoker at age 20ish, very weird.

Honestly, that's when you decide for the better. How did I handle that guy on the train? Just said this is getting ridiculous, asked why he'd enquire about politics when I met him 3 minutes ago.

Countless times where I've just read a book by its cover and just shutdown a conversation immediately. (Liklihood is, if a guy looks like a social media fool, I don't even bother. Girl isn't smiley/bubbly from the offset, I don't even bother. I just know certain people are going to be boring.)

People are creepy man, nobody has real hobbies that involve the outdoors/rigorous effort, people don't even look proper. Forearms weedy and foolish.

I would be pretty impressed if I saw a guy working on his car, a girl clowning around without a video recording/friends around.

I work with nothing but legit boomers and when I first started I hated their humor. Now I find them hilarious.

Honestly, from my messages with him on this board, I think he's probably the only person I've heard of who thinks about this whole thing like me.

I know he likes jackass/mma/jersey shore type stuff, lifting/skateboarding/old music like metal, anything pre 2012, hates phones/media/weak guys. Basically me but a white American version lol.

Yup. Gen X>>>Millennials>>Zoomers when it comes to social skills. Most people don’t know to talk IRL & just circle back to politics or the latest thing on Cuckflix.

That being said, I am curious…What exactly do you wish people talked about, OP?

Basically everything in #18. Just be normal, let a conversation flow. Say something crazy. Sick of mundane conversations like " oh my day has been the worst", **** your day!! I want to hear what epic stunts you get up to, fun adventures, positive stuff, anything that makes this conversation worthwhile.

Sometimes I want to **** people up. Depends on what's going on lol.

What about you?

Ngl, that's not my experience. People around here (New England area) are very social and friendly, to the point where it's actually annoying because Im usually not in the mood. And I dont know why they're so cheerful because society is literally collapsing. Im mainly talking about boomer, genxers, and millenials. I dont interact with zoomers much but im sure they're awkward af.

Anyway, you guys must be in the bigger city areas full of NPC weirdos. Those liberal chitholes have basically taken the identity away from the people that live there so they have no personality.

My post is talking about the London Underground.

Yeah, I spoke with a cool guy and his partner who visited Australia and stuff. But ofcourse I don't expect people to talk about jackass/2010 culture at first glance like me, lol.

Didnt know you were from London. Would have thought NJ. That NJ style you've mentioned in other threads never made it to London, or atleast I didnt see it when i was there in 08?

Were you just approaching people at random to talk to them on the tube, cause I could see why they were "on guard". Probably thought you were trying to scam/mug them.

I've even read articles about how its rude to make eye contact on the underground in London

**** this ****. all I hear people talking about is some stupid anime, some stupid video game or some stupid filler question. Now a days everyone is so fake, everyone thinks they're hard as nails because of social media, thinks they're better than they really are, everyone dresses the same, and tries to act american (nz here). Cant string together a proper sentence. I wish we could go back to the "older" days. Bump my shoulder walking in the hallway? asswhooping. Stare at me for too long? asswhooping.
Not to mention Social media and the rapid automization of everything. People are becoming lazier and lazier, me included. Ifs and buts, ifs and buts.

No reason worth living. Covid isolations further messing everything up and to top that all off, wokeism, pornography and modern day feminism have turned a large part of males into weak, low inhibition and narcissistic "men"

I’ve noticed it with kids and youngsters. They just don’t interact like we used to. Even if it was awkward at first meeting we broke the ice eventually, but now there’s the socially accepted crux of the phone to completely consume them.

Unfortunately this is a modern ailment that I’ve been afflicted with. My verbal communication skills are absolute dog chit. I honestly think if I had been raised a few years later, my pediatrician would’ve diagnosed me on the spectrum. I have trouble connecting with people on a human level. I notice strangers are put off by me basically wherever I go. For example, I’ll stand in line at the grocery store and watch the cashier laugh/make small talk with every customer ahead of me. Then I walk up and it’s a stone cold uncomfortable feeling. Strictly business. Sometimes the cashiers even look scared srs.

I believe this is one of the main reasons I haven’t reached my potential. Prospective employers generally pass me off as unintelligent or uneasy to work with then the opposite is true, but unfortunately my social skills suggest otherwise. Have you ever had a job interview where they ask you a question and you literally have nothing to say? I’m not talking about stammering to deliver a poor answer. I mean your brain literally doesn’t come up with one word for you to communicate, so you sit there silent and start to panic. I have. Often.

My theory is that it is partially generic (some lean towards introversion) but also has to do with how we are raised. I was born in 1996, so I came up alongside technology. It only gets worse for the next generations.
