Apparently the undercover agents got him to cut a shotgun barrel 1/4” shorter than legal. I read something about them wanting him to go undercover in the aryan brotherhood. When he didn’t show up for the court date is when they went in surrounded his place and murdered his family.

The undercover agent befriended him over 3 years and did multiple transactions with him, then baited him with the illegal shotgun sale. He is then prosecuted, but fails to show up, refuses to leave his land & becomes a fugitive.

A year later in 1992 all hell breaks loose-one of his buddies shoots & kills one of the team sent to arrest Weaver & in the return fire an agent kills the family dog. Weavers young son shoots at them & is shot dead-more agents are then called in & swarm the place-shooting his friend who killed the cop(bullet goes through Weavers wife's head killing her & then hits him in the chest & he eventually surrenders & later so does Randy. Weaver is convicted on the charge of not appearing from 1991 & is sentenced to 18 months. Becomes another poster boy for the anti-government movement.

Yes, it is what undercover agents do-he wasn't a random citizen minding his own business, he was a white supremacist illegally selling guns for profit, if he was a regular law abiding citizen he wouldn't have been arrested. He wouldn't have shown anyway-he refused all attempts to get him back into court for the next 16 months & had threatened to shoot the US Marshals who came onto his property five months before this.

Don't shoot & kill government agents when you are a fugitive-then none of this would have happened. The 14 year old decided he would start taking shots at agents as well-which is why he was killed.

-Randall Weaver has a standoff for another week or so, eventually gives himself up.
-Local community outraged they killed the mother and son, standoff with protesters. Further insanity.
-After an investigation the federal government awards Randall Weaver like 13 million dollars for the incident.
-jimbob is a retarded inbred who thinks this award somehow means Randall Weaver was completely at fault.
