Oil trading at 114 a barrel right now.
How high is gas about to go? I've been following the price of oil for the last weeks and it's been holding 110 and under for a while. Are we heading to 7 bucks a gallon?

Probably. I've already seen $6 a gallon in Chicago, $7 a gallon for premium.

Memorial weekend is upon us. For some odd reason it always trades higher right before a driving holiday but i have a feeling..this time it will stick. Onwards and upwards boyos...the great transition is upon us.

It's only been suppressed lately because China locked down most of their population again. I expect $7 a gallon for the US average easily.

Gas is probably going to whatever level actually stops people from driving enough to balance demand with supply
Where I'm at right now, regular gas is already $7/gallon CAD or $5.50/gallon USD. It's not stopping anyone, the highway was packed with trucks pulling trailers and boats for last long weekend

Its gonna get more expensive. Crude is a global market, with russia being a key player. The longer this goes on and the more tension there is with russia and europe regarding oil supply, the higher it goesโฆ
According to germany, the eu is going to place an embargo on russian oil soon. That surely will not help the prices. Buy some jugs and fill em up boys.

Democrats want to see higher gas prices. The higher the price, the happier many Democrats are. Don't know how high oil and gas prices will reach, but have read some Democrats saying $10 a gallon for gas works well for them.
Saw this today about Biden's gimmick

Pretty much. We'll run out of known recoverable lithium by 2040 at current build out rates. Even with the most optimistic projections of future lithium deposit discoveries and with 0% waste battery recycling, we might make it to 2100.

The world produced 95million barrels per day in 2021. At $114/barrel, that's $10.83billion/day revenue, a $4trillion per year market just in oil without getting into all the products it creates including gasoline and diesel.
If companies/countries could pump out more oil to capitalize on these prices, which is how commodities like oil balance themselves out, they would be pumping more oil.
