Where is this ski mask trend coming from?

There’s been a trend of urban youth wearing ski masks all over Boston lately. Just saw a group of 12-14 year olds wearing it outside the train station and I told my mom about it and she said she sees it all the time in the ghetto part of town that she works in. Are you guys seeing this in your area too? Wtf are they doing wearing that **** normally now in 90 degree weather
