I salute his courage and sacrifice under fire.
Being under fire is an experience that changes you for life in many ways.
Yet, quite difficult to articulate to those that have not walked in the same muddy boots.

He was at Hue 1968....5 years older than me.
I rotated back to CONUS in March '67.

Did a tour in afghanistan, was stationed in the UAE then later into fort hood and later onto fort rucker.

Shipping off to Ukraine as an addition to a SAS segment being sent over to train the Ukrainians in the use of western ATGM
