i felt like going for a jog while watching WWZ. Its kind of nuts man. How ppl will take an escalator for a single flight of stairs or elevator for 1 floor. drive EVERYWHERE. dont do any type of strenuous physical activity.

I feel like to be an effective human you should be able to run, jump, and climb relatively easily (unless old)

Book WWZ zombies were slow walkers and still managed to beat the military. Book describes how that could happen pretty good.

good luck with that

negged for bringing this dumb chit up in this completely unrelated thread you weirdo.

with a gun you ALWAYS have to worry about ammo and it makes too much noise. The sword would get stuck in bone or something?
Yeah man, and how many zombies would be killed or maimed before the blade went dull?

Atleast with ammo I can rob other miscers of their ammo and keep distance from zombies. and like Katya said a hand axe would be better in most cases. light and easy to carry

The best thing to have would be fuel to light them on fire.

The more zombies you light on fire, the better.

I'm lucky enough to have a friend who owns a fishing yacht worth 250k which is big enough to sustain a family or two at sea for at least a few weeks. It's stocked with enough perishable supplies for a quick exit, plus of course we can fish on the open water.

From there, the plan is to head to either an oil rig or an island far enough away from shore but not really in the middle of the open ocean. Assuming it's a world ending zombie apocalypse, if not, we can ride it out on the boat for weeks/months until chit blows over.

If it really is the end of the world, we follow the plan laid out in Max Brook's Zombie Survival Guide.
Like two months ago you were bragging about going to a self sustaining farm to ride things out.

gun = distance
sword = reusability (you can sharpen it with a rock bruh.) also can do 360 swinging with it if surrounded by a small group of them.

I think as far as weapons on the move, it'd be a sword and grenades. guns have too much downsides imo. traveling on a bicycle

Swords have limitations - a katana or samurai are great at a certain distance but if they are up on you, they are useless.

I'd still carry a small pistol or something, probably, but I'd want a katana and a bow and arrow.

The katana I would carry on my back under my quiver and bow.

It depends on how the zombies operate.

If they see or smell you, being on fire would cancel out sight or smell. If you had enough distance for them not to touch you, while on fire, they would not longer be able to sense you.

Also, a fire would destroy a lot of their muscles so even if they were still undead/alive they would not be moving very well.

Attack:

If I had a fuel source, my plan would be to find groups of them and light them on fire as a hit and run tactice. Get fuel on them, light them up, and run. I would try to do that repeatedly until zombies in my area were burnt up.

If things were more beneficial, and I had a flame thrower, I would use that over any other weapon. If I didn't have such a device then Molotov cocktails or however I could get fuel on them is what I would use.

Sneak attacks would be the way to go.

Bruh if the zombies in WWZ actually happened 99% of humans would get rektd.

Just lol if you think hitting the gym and lifting weights will have prepared you for that kind of zombie.

Unless you've had actual combat training, can use weapons etc. you are fuked.

I actually have a sharp katana I bought at a mall decades ago.

I always thought it was a stupid purchase.

After the riots in Philly I realized it's the only weapon I own, so it would be wild to actually have to use it. But, with zombies some type of sword would be essential.

I also have a Gurka knife but that's too short.

A Thor type hammer or something with crushing force would be great if you couldn't find a sword like object in a real sudden crisis.

Yes.

Crowds of normal non zombies would be horrible to deal with.

I have read, this is from WWII, that terrorized women will drop their kids and run for their lives. They will not try to save the kid.

So, that's bombs and so on causing that kind of terror, and IMAGINE the reaction to the news that MONSTERS are running around trying to eat people. It would be hysteria beyond anything.

Encountering groups of terrorized people about to die, would not be a good thing. It would make getting food and resources very tough. It would make leaving places in a vehicle very very bad.

I bet is that you would have to stay in a dangerous area to wait for people to die, then leave. I mean if you live in a town or city.

Also, you would have to be prepared to kill people who are alive, if they were hysterical. If you met calm organized people, that would probably be a good thing.

If the situation was real, it would be a massive SH!T show.

Bow and arrow seems a bit risky if youre not on a roof top or something. but yeah small pistol if i really need to get some shooting done but sword would be my go to.

Thinking about buying a katana at some point just to have one.

Good purchase, bro.

Also, yea, I'd still be at the supermarket looting though.

I wouldn't know what else to do besides raid the supermarket, not get shot, and then make my way out to a more dense forested area.

I'd need to make a trip somewhere to obtain a bow and arrow. The katana would probably have to wait. I'd also need a hunting knife and flint and steel. I'd maybe try to bar up in a house or something for a few days with other survivors, out in the country somewhere, like a farm, idk.

I'd try to find a group ASAP.

When I bought it, I was working at a facility that got government food supplies.

I was able to easily slice through a tube of government baloney likely thicker than your arm, lol.

I was cracking my coworkers up. They were also throwing vegetables at me to see if I could slice them in midair.

Meanwhile, my work ethic has improved a lot since my 20s!

Food:

Sadly, I have thought about this issue, not related to zombies, but about massive food shortages and concluded that targeting neighbors may be a better want to get for than the store.

It's a disgusting thought though.

I'd still join your group, probably. Don't become Neegan!

I'd try to find a group ASAP.
As I mentioned, targeting the homes of old people and women would probably be the best way to get food.

That's a disgusting thought but if all of these people were going to die by getting eating alive, it would kind of be okay to take their food and or eliminate them to do so.

Like I've said, if this situation was real, it would be far more brutal than most any human on human situation.

Real Life:

A few weeks ago the water in my apartment building stopped working and it went on for days.

Meanwhile, my local store is not well stocked and in the past few months there's been fake chicken shortages and whatnot.

As soon as the water stopped working, we were f@cked for living here. There's no washing, no toilet, and no cooking. We went to a hotel, so problem solved.

Imagine if nowhere had water, power, or food stocked. Probably, almost everyone would die within a short period of time.

Most of us do not know how to get water or obtain food, so nearly all people would be doomed.

My solution would be to attack people for what food they had on hand.

The government, etc wouldn't even have to attack us to kill off almost the entire population.

So, if you add zombies to that, meaning relentless attackers, the food situation would be the most dire other than directly encountering zombies. It would be having some kind of weapon and then whatever food you could find with a giant emphasis on hydration.

It would not be pretty.

It's not very hard to get water. You just find the nearest river or lake or pond. You can make a fire, boiling water, and boil your clothes.

Also, the stores would have bottled water.

There's a pub down the road called The Winchester. It has big heavy doors and a real firearm above the bar. I would just hang out there until it all blows over.
