In around 1 week, Farmville turns 13 years old!!

Wow.

That game was amazing. Engulfed the whole world in 2010. Real world news reports people gambling their lives away on that game.

I changed my school schedule to wake up hours earlier to check my Farmville and Happy Aqarium. Oh and to check my Bejewelled blitz. Friends were always online, checking other farms, loading and closing the page. Opening task manager thinking it would speed it up. Disc cleanup after session. Yelled at for keeping it on standby instead.

It makes me sad, it was such a peaceful fun game. To think it was something everyone could play. Perfect happy balance. Now there's nothing.

Music genuinely makes me upset. Been playing this for a few minutes.

To also think chrome stopped java a while ago, then recently stopped flash.

So many old games out there. Just checked so many game sites, Maxgames, notdoppler, Kongregate, miniclip etc, they don't even update the sites properly anymore.

!!!!

I used to play Castleville. I think any game that has daily tasks is inherently dangerous. They end up controlling you and your time.

Rip off farmville.

Basically all games since ps2 have daily tasks. Except now you must pay, before it was a fun concept.

Actually, did u know that? Those old fun ******** games now costs a bunch of money to play. Like a membership. Tried to play today, lol. Can't even check my farm.

Car Town is wiped.

Also, to think a similar version called Farm Town released a few months earlier only to get overthrown by Farm Ville.

Was also a news headline.

Copy and paste with more power/advertising.

What, I don't recall it ever being a mobile game. Unless you used some flash enabled browser on ur phone.

People stopped playing Farmville in 2011/early 2012.

Man, just realised how many games Farmville basically created.

I played Simpsons tapped out a ton, game has vanished aswell. I don't think a lot of games were that popular, I think their advertising budgets were just humongous. I remember going on my phone in 2015 seeing every ad about simpsons tapped out.

Yeah, that's it. It was there alongside a huge lineup of ******** games that have disappeared.

I swear Farmville had over 40 million daily players. In 2010 that number was obviously far more significant. Probably today's equivalent of over 1 billion daily players considering how connected everything is in 2022.

I feel as if some dimensional theory on the whereabouts of pre 2012 people is becoming more and more prevalent to me. No way are these the same people from back then. Their mindsets are nothing alike, "alpha" (I hate that lingo) men now would be the nerd queers of 2010. Worse than a nerd queer, a phone/social media addicted nerd queer who dresses 10x worse.

I mean the only other explanation really is social media causing it to be like this but that doesn't explain the sudden shift in behavior, style, culture etc etc you name it nothing is really the same anymore. Even peoples mannerisms and body language are just totally different now. So idk if social media created some kind of autistic hive mind or timelines really did merge. Regardless it's interesting as hell since it seems that barely anyone notices the shift. The few that do all notice the same chit.

And tbh i'm not even sure if it happened in 2012. Or if it was in 2013-2016 i just remember things feeling a bit off in 2012 and then getting really bizarre around 2015. 2016+ it increased exponentially.

Yeah, social media wasn't really "on the go" or mobile to bring with you back then. The issue is phones. The concept of social media (e.g, ********), hasn't really changed since 2010. Like, sure the content has changed, but it hasn't morphed into something completely random. Carrying around our little ********s and whatever equivalent media's around with us 24/7 is the problem.

The 40 million daily farmville players? All either at home of at a library/cyber cafe.

This constant simulation of a damn phone is what's frying peoples brains.

Yeah 2013-2015. In 2012 Jessie J and Nicki Minaj started releasing their weird material, not an issue but it's away from the norm. Kind of poofy auras, guys wearing Taylor Swift/Rihanna shirts. Then in 2013 that Ed Sheeran clown released his camp happy fun fun songs that just made males into pussies. Since then it's been a disaster of poofy type things taking over. Basically set the scene.

2012 because of that mayan calendar world ending stuff, just sounds like a round year too. A cut off point. But yeah, more like 2013-2016ish.

Yeah there's no doubt about it that smart phones are causing anxiety and overstimulation and it's all a vicious cycle

Then you have all the other stuff on social media causing mental illnesses

You cannot tell me that apps like Instagram and Twitter are not causing anxiety and Narcissism lol

Yeah, before it was just a projected version of our daily lives. Now social media is just some weird sharing site.

Narcissism. See, that was a good thing for guys/girls before. Tensing in the mirror and being aggressive. Just made people cocky about themselves, definitely made people talk to eachother, like we're meant to.

Difference is now people are cocky/narcissistic and they really shouldn't be. Why should u be self absorbed when there's another clown doing what you're doing, e.g, social media clown who lifts. Just nothing special.

Now see a Jersey roided out douchebag ready to bash his head through your skull, that's what I'm talking about. Worthy of being cocky.

I just picture guys like maxed out Rambo in todays era, or younger Britney Spears. It would be so confusing to place them in today's world.

Looking at old videos makes this more obvious, since it seems people don't notice the shift because it morphed over time? Or maybe the guys in their 40s now just don't care? Either way it is certainly a conversation since it's just a plain mystery on why nobody talks about it. Old Internet stuff isn't locked/stashed away? Lol?

The internet went from being informative/cool/interesting to people posting selfies and weird links. It's just another part of the shift i don't get. All that old internet chit is still there but its like everyone forgot that culture used to exist not long ago and wants nothing to do with it. I look back at old Hodgetwins or WWF videos and i'm like what the fuk happened to this stuff? The energy was unmatched. Now Hodgetwins make videos of themselves eating and far right politics lol.

The shift happened quickly between mid 2012 and 2015 by early 2016 it was already in steady clown world. Everyone by then forgot about the pre 2012 culture.

Exactly, the internet seemed to suggest that it was meant to be our little helper. Like an online knowledge database. Forums/emails had many amazing uses ofcourse. People genuinely got excited using their pcs and it actually required brain cells to operate. Now clowns just stare into dead pixels and scoff at some joke post. What is that? That's just a wasted life to me.

I guess the Hodgetwins grew out of it. But why? They were far beyond adults when they first started, yet their topics were how to get juicy and dbz sometimes. They were the funny kind of clowns, they were awesome.

In all fairness, their most notable videos were eating, not on a furious pete/competitive eater wavelength though.

Actually, this one here really confuses me about culture. I remember a Hodgetwins video talking about how a woman teacher raped a highschool kid. The thing is, they were crying laughing calling that kid a pussy for literally minutes, saying that would be any guys fantasy. Comments on that video were agreeing and talking similar stuff about how the kid should be praised and we should learn from him lol.

The thing is, that video never resurfaced, so the comments remained as the old 2011 mindset. Similar stories exist now and man do people think differently all of a sudden. Guys saying that'll be their worst nightmare/women are monsters/why do men suffer etc?????? Lol?? (I'll try to find the video, do u know?)

I don't know what's going on and why stuff is changing. They're not changes that'll change humanity for the better or anything, it's just little bull**** clown things that slowly bug me more and more.

Man, so I searched farmville in my email (same email I used in 2010 with ********), the last email regarding that game was in 2014, something about Farmville 2 which I didn't see lol.

Crazy how long ago this all was, so an email about a sequel to a 13 year old game is over 7-8 years old lol.

In 2010, I spent nearly three years playing the Crime Inc. (UKEN)app game.

It's a game where you have to pay to win. I know folks who have spent over $50,000 on this game.

It's a game where you have to pay to win. I know folks who have spent over $50,000 on this game.

I could have saved a lot of money if I had paid more attention to the misc financial thread - Dun Goff'd

I remember I really wanted to spend some money on these games, realised it was a giant waste considering the damn costs lol.

Lol.

Yeah there's no point in me listing the people who played, it was basically everyone I knew. Including my mother who was much more obsessed than me.

I remember planting strawberries and harvesting them 4 hours later for max efficiency. Clock was set, I don't know how, but basically everyone on this planet stopped playing at basically the same time. Like, I just stopped playing, no idea why, but that was that? No idea why we all basically didn't touch it for the next 10+ years??
